Nice sites, kinds small for bigger rigs. My 36 foot 5th was tight getting around the loop.

The camp site was in great shape. There were tags to remind everyone of the fire restrictions. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. The set up of sites and water spigots were really convenient and most of the campsites felt private. A wonderful place to camp.

The camp hosts at Vallecito Campground were very nice and informative. The campground itself was beautiful, with a variety of trees and with big cliffs along one side. The approach to the Vallecito Creek Trail ran right along the campground. The trail is pretty rocky and a little steep in spots, but beautiful. The bathrooms (pit toilets) were very clean. Some campsites were smallish and some were more spacious. The campsites had new bear-proof lockers where we could put our coolers, trash and recycling at night and when we were away. They weren't experiencing bear problems at the time we were there, but they said last year there were a number of bears coming through the campground. I saw a number of raccoons around at night. There was a large deer in the campground one morning. There was a swimming hole at the creek nearby. We drove to a marina at the lake and swam in the lake by a boat launch. It was refreshing and the scenery was gorgeous.

Great campground! Lots of trees, and the hiking trail up the creek is beautiful.

The Vallecito Campground is one of the best! Great spaces, much privacy, clean bathrooms and lots of room for enjoying the well treed area. There is a creek to dip your toes into, a trail that leaves from the campground and potable water. Electric was a bonus as some of the sites. I highly recommend this public campground. It was not very busy when we were there so it is a great place to enjoy nature!

What a beautiful spot! There's plenty of room between camps and the bathrooms are clean and well stocked. The nearby hiking trails are absolutely beautiful and relatively easy for most folks of all ages. We will definitely return very soon - close to home!

Vallecito is a beautiful campground with excellent local hiking and fishing. Campsite registration covers entrance fees for a number of day use areas on the reservoir as well. We loved our stay and plan to return.

Beautiful campground, first time for us. Would be better if it had water available. Near a wilderness area, so hiking was great. Mosquitos were bothersome. Plan to return.

Vallecito campground is a bit far away from most of what you probably want to do in Durango/Silverton, but it was a great get away to disconnect. Tons of tall trees for shade on hot summer days, and very large picnic table. We were impressed that the end of the picnic table was extended as an intended stove placement area. Water is not run to each site, but there is a central water spigot for all your water needs. Bathrooms were very clean and did not smell. Our site was large enough for one four-person tent.

The campground was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. Not much in the way of amenities, but that's part of what makes it peaceful. The hosts were very friendly and informative. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

A gem and a highlight of our three-week southwest tour!! Our campsite was amazing (B29) and the camp hosts Deb and Jase were helpful and watchful. We could hear the creek from our site and everything was so clean and beautiful. We live in Florida, but will definitely find our way back!

Probably one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have stayed in. The hosts were so helpful and friendly and did an excellent job of monitoring the facilities. Pit toilets had no odor and there were many on the grounds. Lots of water faucets also close by. Easy access to sites. The creek was beautiful as was the lake. Lots of wildlife in the area to see. We absolutely loved it. Verizon cell service had one bar which was sufficient to make phone calls - which is all we really needed.

Beautiful campground! We were in campsite 13 B loop & loved it. Looking to the road nobody was to the right or in front of us. The campsite to the left was a bit away. You could still see them but enough trees & shrubs blocked them. For being as large of a campground we barely heard anyone. They had two sets of camp hosts. The one couple you barely ever saw & the hosts with the motor cycle were great. Checking in with you after you go settled in & through out our stay checked in every once & awhile. We absolutely loved it there!! Wish it was closer :)

Camp hosts were easy to access, receptive and helpful. We loved the hike out of the campground. Three miles in is a great bridge with fun rocks for kids to climb around. Bathrooms were clean and easy to access. Plenty of easy access to water faucets.

We stayed for 7 nights in space B2 directly across from the creek. It was so great to get away from the world. We loved every minute of it.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
