Beautiful campground in nice location. Road in and out very long and bumpy

We love the campground. Just one suggestions the restroom I realized they are pit bathrooms but they need more attention with the fly problem. Didnt feel the campground host took the time needed to keep them clean.

This heavily wooded campground was quiet and peaceful, even the vault toulet was the cleanest I've ever seen. It was a short walk to the lake and there were several trails to enjoy. This was our second trip to Rainbow Point and I'm sure there will be more.

A very lovely, well maintained campground in the Lodgepole pine. Stayed there so we could visit the Earthquake Lake Visitor Center and learn about the Earthquake that so affected this area. The US Forest Service has done a great job with this campground and the Earthquake Lake Visitor Center Lake Visitor center.

We stayed at this campground 10 years ago and the camp hosts were super friendly. We had a great experience. This time the first night my husband went over to purchase some fire wood. Two of the camp hosts were very rude to my husband. Unless warranted they should always be courteous to the guests. We will never stay at the Rainbow Point Campground again.

We stayed at Rainbow Point Campground for two days in September. We stayed in the C Loop with electricity. The location of the campground was a high point, close to West Yellowstone. It was a large campground with four loops. We loved the proximity to Hedgen Lake. We would stay there again.

We absolutely love this campground and will definitely stay there again

Nice Campground with power and close to YNP.

Very nice campground. Quiet and close to the West entrance of Yellowstone. The main issue with this campground is the two mile gravel road leading to the campground. Total washboard surface that will jar your RV apart even at the slowest of speeds. It definitely needs to be graded.

Well maintained bathroom. No view of lake from campsites, but the lake is easy to access

The campground was nice and quiet. The camphosts were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area.Only downside of that location was the blue-green algae infestation of the nearby lake.

everything on the campground was great! drive there was super bumpy though! came with a campervan and a 10 min drive turned into 30 min because the gravel road was just so uneven. we had some signal which was good!

Great proximity to Yellowstone and Earthquake Lake.

Nice sites in wooded areas.Some sites are a little tight with the concrete posts outlining sites are not very helpful.My major criticism is that the almost 2 mile long gravel approach road to campground is bad! Described by some as washboard surface, it will shake your bones and rig to the core. Worst gravel road Ive experienced.Will not stay here again because of this issue. Shame.

Peaceful and quiet setting in the woods with a short walk to the lake. Plenty of space between campsites. Awesome fire pits.

We really liked our site, it was nicely spaced with plenty of trees. The big downside is the gravel road to the campground which is terrible. It's so rutted and washboard that you can't go more than 10 or 15 mph with a trailer. It cost me a valve handle that fell off after all that punishment. The county or whomever owns that road desperately needs to get a grader on it. But once you get there it's a really nice area. And definitely go see Earthquake Lake while you are there which is amazing.

This is a beautiful and quiet campground where there is a lot of space between campers. We appreciated having electric and everything seemed well kept. The road in to the campground was washboard gravel, and we had to go very slowly, so I hope that it gets leveled out. We were a bit sad that toxic algae bloom was happening in the lake, so we didn't kayak, but we enjoyed the view and walks along the lake. A great experience overall.

The road into the campground was horrible. The campground itself was clean and beautiful. But will probably not return just because of the road.

Very clean campground very quite at night and the bathrooms were very clean

Nice campground, very quiet but horrible road to get to it. If they fix the road it would be one of the best places to camp.
@JanetG5443740 · Camped on Aug 15, 2025 at Campsite #C22
As in other comments, the road was a washboard... very rough. Negotiating room for backing up trailer was null, between hitting trees on either side of the tight space and the people across from the site. It was too difficult and not worth the effort. The sites were very close together as well. We left and went to a more accommodating campground.

It was good spacing but when we got there for 2 days the dumpster was completely full. The c loop only had 1 working vault toilet that was overfull the whole time. When opening the lid flys and misquotes flew out of the vault like crazy( counted 11 flys and 16 misquotes at one time) I have never had such a bad time with mosquitoes. I had 3 different types of repellents and none work. The lake was unusable because of green algae.

Decent campsite, good privacy and plenty of trees. Well kept for the most part. The low review comes due to the fact the water at the lake is not swimmable because of an algae growth. Toilets are non flush toilets. This is an active bear area, sounded like someones campsite nearby had one because there was a lot of banging at around 1AM trying to scare it away. I could hear it around our site huffing and puffing but it never got to close.

This was a great camping spot! Mary was very helpful when I stopped by with questions. The road in to the site was really bumpy it was one long washboard from start to end but other than that it was a great stay. The campsite had electric hookups and was close to the lake.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
