Very good camp site for family camping near water.

Boondocking only. Pads arent level, no trees so to speak. Very unkempt. Lots of garbage scattered around. Shower was adequate. Wildlife was great!

It was great as usual but this trip the beach and water were full of goose poop.One of our dogs drank the water and he had stomach issues for a couple of days

site acorn 13 - right on the water. watched fish jump all day, water is perfectly high this year. Dumpster missing that was supposed to be near our site. Site was trashed upon arrival

We had #132 right on the hill over the lake. Beautiful site saw several deer, took our chairs down to the water. Ranger Eric was very helpful as were the 2 rangers inside office area. Really not a bad site there some were not as level as others but overall it was absolutely beautiful there and so peaceful!!

We love camping here but this time the bathrooms lacked maintenance. Usually early morning things would be cleaned and restocked but this time it wasnt restocked until later. The dry weeds were also extra tall when years in past they would be mowed. With the snakes its nice to have low mowed weeds so we can see whats in there.

We have used this campground many times and are very happy with it.

I loved that the rangers kept driving by, and the fire dept. Always scary when its super hot out and we r having fires at night!

Place is nice. Only thing I would like to see change is if camp host can put extra toilet paper in bathroom and have a little more water come out of the shower

Camp grounds were clean. Sites are a little close. Only negative on our trip was restroom issues. One of the urinals was clogged and filled with gross liquid.

Campsite #89 should be marked TENT ONLY! The sights area to park a trailer caused the bottom step to be 2 foot off the ground once leveled. I broke my right foot which has affected my life and future plans. Simple solution tents only at #89

Nice spot, was more leveled than some of the other sites. No shade though and few trees that were spaced out/ couldnt hang a hammock. Next time will try to get a site closer to the water. We had a fun time at the lake though.

Overall a good experience. The lake is beautiful - definitely check out the hidden trail that goes around the perimeter. Just walk along the shore at the southern most part of the campground and youll end up on it. Hidden gem! Lots of deer sightings as well as some more private swimming spots

Great view, short distance down to shore.Late afternoon shade. Cooking grate over fire ring. Water faucet nearby. All four of these adjacent spots are excellent choices.

Going off season during the week is like having your own private lake. There's no boat or jet ski noise, no loud awful music, and no loud horrible generators.

Great location right on the water, compared to those around it this unfortunately has zero shade so bring a tarp or avoid when hot. Felt a little close to the site next to it but all in all a positive experience

Campground was nice. No complaints there. Our site in particular was a tad bit small. It was also not cleaned by the previous visitors. There was a trash bag with diapers in it and the firepit had plastic items thrown in it. If the previous visitor had cleaned the site, then our experience would have been much better.

Site #42 is sandwiched between dumpster and washroom. Not a great one view wise. Campground was well maintained. Park rangers were kind and friendly.

I loved Acorn Campground ! Me and my daughter had a great stay here , we felt safe and we loved the beauty of the lake and area. They need to come cut the grass, thats the only complaint I have lol . But I loved this place , we will come back again one day .

Stayed in site 106, first time at the campground. Our camper ('21 Cougar SABWE 24ft) has a single slide and we were very close to not being able to open it, due to the large boulders that lined the driver's side of the driveway. Thankfully, we had about 6-8 inches of clearance on either side of the slide so it worked, but there was essentially a single location in the driveway that made this possible. There is 8-10 inch tall concrete curbing lining the passengers side of the driveway (for reference the spot is a back-in, not pull through), so clearing the curb with the trailer steps was also very tight. Campground was very clean, visitors and park staff were friendly, and our stay was quiet and relaxing. Site 106 has a beautiful lake view and is about 50 yards from the water. Highly recommend, but maybe visit before to ensure that the site will accommodate your trailer. Fill your fresh tank before getting to the campground!

The campsites gave ample space and access to facilities. Spaces have a pole and hook, table and fire ring with a grate. Most spaces, however, were not well leveled. Our picnic table was so sloped that we could not set out fruit or water bottles without them rolling away or falling over. The restrooms and showers were good, though we had lights not working on the men and women's side while we stayed. The showers are oversized and better than most other campsites. A few water spouts are available throughout the site, but the water quality is markedly worse than most campgrounds. The lake is nice and the ground for the tents was nice to sleep on.

This was my second time camping here at acorn campground and never disappoints. Its so beautiful and serene and my family loves it. I appreciate the bathrooms always being cleaned everyday and rangers securing the grounds. I always get the lake view not just for the convenience but the views at sunset are breathtaking. Cant wait to go back this summer.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
