The lake was very low given it was winter season. My brother in law and I were surprised by how respectful the rest of the campers was given all the sites were actually occupied. The spigot was working properly with just a very very slight trickle and the bathrooms were well maintained. I did not have to double think about sitting on the toilet. I will say that you need to bring your own toilet paper but if you are a seasoned camper you would already assume you need to bring your own stuff. Since a lot of the sites allowed RVs it was a little difficult finding out site so if you have a bigger vehicle, plan accordingly. The fire pit also has a grate that you cant take off so there is a slightly smaller area for a campfire.

We had an amazing time. Scenery was beautiful. Only issue is our most spots were on a slope. So it made sleeping uncomfortable. Other than that it was great.

There was no picnic table at our spot. The site was very unlevel. We tried to dump our motorhome on the way out and all the dump stations were closed. If something is not working it needs to be made clear prior to making a reservation. Very disappointing.

Was there for a few days with my family to camp.I was upset for a few different reasons the first one was that there is no noise control or anyone to regulate it.The camp next to us had loud music playing and were pretty loud until about 1am.Second one was bathroom did not have toilet paper and were not cleaned.

We have had to live camp ground to camp ground. We came back to hogan 2 days earlier then we were suppose to. The reservations dont usally let you book if your you haven't been gone 16 days. Well it did ,was a honest mistake. We booked 14 days. It let us book 3 more days. Ranger came around informed me that I had come back early and we could stay gor the days we had booked. But we would have to stay gone 14 days+ 2+3+2. So total of 21 days. Which i was fine with. But on the 14th day 2 rangers came to camp and I formed me we needed to be gone that same day. This ranger was there the day the ranger informed me about coming back early and having to stay gone 21 days. But she said she didn't recall hearing that. So it was to late to cancell the reservation we had for next 3 days. So I lost out on 3 days camp fees. And had to bemo Ed the

Only one complaint. I stayed in the only site that did not have a table. Quite confusing. Other than that. Had a good time

We love this campground, but feel it is being highly neglected thus the 3 stars instead of 5. Picnic tables need repair or replaced. Cem nt curbs at each campsite are dangeous due to being broken. Bathrooms are in need of so much repair. But... it is still my happy place.

Site 15 has extreme drop-offs from the paved slip to the native ground of the campsite. Very hazardous.

Nice campground, if you prefer shade you need to really check out each site for tree coverage as many do not have it. It is very rocky on the campground side and mostly red clay like dirt that sticks to everything. Shoes to use the lake are recommended. The lake was really cold and on the campground side there's a lot of mucky muddy algae type chunks floating around. Very gross to swim in they are mostly located towards the edges of the lake as the side seems to be used more for water vehicles. Campground was fairly quiet we did have issues with one camper running her car motor and there only seems to be one patrol per day. Take firewood yourself if you wanna have campfires. All in all it was an OK campground for the nightly rate.

First time in this campground, this is great campground after summer. It'll be a repeat campground for us.

My spot number was 58, it had NO shade, DRY GRASS about 1-2 feet high all around it. The Restrooms were NOT maintained. It was NOT my best experience. I fact I had this spot for four days, but left after just two. All the best spots were already closed down for the season, why? I do not know, but Was informed of this. Thought the space I reserved would be okay, till I seen it. I like Hogan, but will not reserve a space between #1 and 58 ever again, don't recommend it at all.

We have always enjoyed camping at Acorn Campground. It is close to home as in an easy drive, the campground is always clean and nice. The bathrooms are taken care of. We plan to continue camping here every year.

Website was a little confusing first time paying for camp spot . I thought I was paying for 2 nites when I found a site we liked but it was for 2 days and 1 night . Almost had to leave on 2nd nite because of my mistake . But thankfully was able to pay for the night with only . United to spare . After 10 you cannot book a spot for the night

The sites are great size! I'd love to have some if ANY flat land to put a tent but you're camping so it is what it is. Fire pits are GREAT tables are large i Love the pole in each site to hang a lantern. The bathrooms are nice (when they work) one of them was basically inoperable the whole time as the toilets were constantly flooded and then the shower also flooded. So clearly drains needed to be de clogged more often etc. but the other bathrooms were clean and great! I didnt see the camp host then entire time until about an hour before we left. be prepared for people to be LOUD until 2 am at least! Will be back but could use a little work.

This is a great spot to camp- but if you want to be by the water, you need to book 4-6 months in advance even when going during the week. There are flushing toilets and showers- but not a lot. If youre a weekend camper- you will want to bring your own toilet/shower (we do even during the week). The weather can be oppressively hot in August (Ive gone May-July usually, think Ill avoid August next year because the only relief is being in the lake- on the campsite its just too hot, particularly for dogs who arent good at staying still and staying in the shade.) The one complaint I have is consistent year after 5 trips here- maintenance is rare, if it happens at all. A few years ago diarrhea on the bathroom wall all week (prompted me to buy my camp toilet) usually there is some mess from previous campers- this year trash on beach and site- and enough pancakes, eggs, and sausages to feed ten people dumped at the base of our picnic table. So be prepared to clean, and please leave it cleaner than you found it! Respect nature! There are trash bins!! Oh also- there was no ranger or anyone to check us in on Sunday, and the grounds are quite a maze to navigate to your site. Be sure to take a photo of the map posted as you drive in! Even that is a little confusing!

The only complaint is the tweekers in the area sneaking in at night going through the garbage cans. Makes for being uncomfortable of safety. I know the host is keeping an eye out and working real hard to keep them out. The host Cindy was great.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
