Excellent park. Very clean. Restrooms cleaned daily and free showers. Plenty of trails. Campsites large. Needs one more sign at Glory Hole for campground location going towards site 132.

The place in general is beautiful! The shower was great and nature around us was peaceful. But the people around us were absolutely disrespectful, loud until 4am and inconsiderate for others around them so thats what killed the camping experience for us will not return since we left a day early due to the Dominic dispute that occurred hopefully someone finds there 2 cat's out there.

Came in on a holiday weekend! Nice clean site. Bathrooms clean. Quiet neighbors. Could see the potential for summer chaos . But enjoyed our preseason visit. Would definitely recommend.

The grass is way too long and is a hazard for snakes. I wish you would cut the grass before it gets that long.

Glory Hole is lovely in the early spring. Everything is still fresh and green. We enjoyed hiking the Angel's Creek Loop---just beware of the poison oak. It is flourishing this year. We watched a pair of Titmouse birds and a pair of ospreys building their nests. Also, Glory Hole is not far from Calaveras Big Trees State Park. Pack a lunch and make a day of it. The Giant Sequoia are awe-inspiring.

Campsite and bathroom were great. But, the grounds lets campers run generators all night. Noise rule of is not enforced. But beautiful place in the spring.

Myself and my husband had a great 4-night stay. Bathrooms were clean. We had a quiet and relaxing time. Nature was out and about which is always nice.

It was beautiful and peaceful during the week. Bathrooms/showers were clean. I would have rated it higher except there was a lot of trash from previous campers in our site. I dont know if it blew there from other sites or washed down to our site during a storm, but we had to leash our dogs up on the asphalt pad to keep them from eating something they shouldnt. Also the closest water spigot was capped off and the next nearest one was in another campers site, awkward to walk through someone elses camp for water. However, it was still an enjoyable place to camp, lots of wildlife seen (eagle, osprey, deer, turkey, and many species of birds).

No fish cleaning stations is the pits! Clean fish at camp and toss the fish guts in a bag and put in the trash which stink and can is full which not picked up once a week which it should be!

Not that much shade and we couldnt figure out how to access the water by foot. Otherwise it was a quiet place

I wish there was more patrolling,And its just really ridiculous to have no access to a dump station. You have to go across the bridge to do so Im a campground thats not even openAnd I really wish she would open both sides. I just dont see the reason for having everything closed up.

We live nearby the area and campground. Our time there is quite enjoyable. Late winter with spring like conditions was in place. We were able to secure 2 adjoining spots and that is our normal plan so we can secure our boat as well. The current staff off Park Rangers is excellent. Jake ? and Ranger Dan from the east coast. They were the most informed people I have ever encountered at New Melones in all my years ! They helped explain my BLM senior pass in regards to camping , boat launch fees and took the time to visit with me as the lines are pretty light a side benefit of the Golden Muscle inspections is my guess. We will be back until triple digits and hot weather arrives then we go to cooler locales.It wouls be great to see the RV dunps stations open again but not a big isue. The trails are removed off brush and weeds and are being used without any incidents.Great Job and we shall be back soon!Bill and Sue Caldera, Sonora a

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
