Nice and clean camp sites. Restrooms and showers were cleaned daily. Restrooms and showers can get busy in the early am and evening since theres one stall of each on the mens side.My only complaint is the camp sites are not walking distance to the lake. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and the staff/rangers were very helpful.Will visit again. Thank you.

Enjoyed the hiking trails. Sunset and sunrise were beautiful from Iron Horse campground.

This campground is very easy to access. Just a couple of hours from the Bay Area makes it a nice getaway. Moving around the campground is a breeze with good roads. The site features a nice, flat parking spot which was important since we slept in a 144" Sprinter van. Campsites are nicely spaced out for privacy.

This campground was clearly designed for tents not RV's. For some odd reason almost all of the sites were split level, meaning there was a small paved parking pad and 4-5 feet down the grade was the table, fire ring and flat area for chairs. We are in a small 25' RV and the pad was almost too narrow for us, a Class A or large trailer probably would not fit. The location is lovely, we had a view of the lake and it was beautifully quiet until the Trailer across from us ran their generator from 7am to 9:30am! The generator hours are far too permissive.

Nice place to stay. We were there in the springtime, really beautiful. Park was well kept and clean restrooms!

We love camping here in the winter. Few people, very quiet, and so green!! The bathrooms are spotless. We always get a pizza at Mikes Pizza in Angels Camp.

The restroom was nice and clean, but the light at night did not work. Make sure to take a lantern! The campsite was nice, but I hate it when previous campers do no pick up all their "little trash" and numerous cigarette butts. One campsite looked like someone emptied their ash tray! Really! The lake is low, so expect to hike down to the water. We didn't bring our boat, but there was still a launch open. Hopefully the lake will fill up some with the rain we're getting this weekend. We enjoyed a full moon and warm temperatures for October. Bring binoculars to enjoy the wildlife. Lots of birds and deer.
