I'm just back from another week at my favorite campground. The Mt. Pisgah campground is quiet and comfortable the bathrooms are clean and easily accessible.

The campground is well run and well located. The site was not very level (A 17) but it IS the mountains so perhaps not surprising. We were there on opening weekend in a tent camper and it was cold, wet and windy. Too much so to cook outside but thankfully the Pisgah Inn is right across the street. The next day was lovely and we enjoyed a hike but the forecast for the evening was similar to the first so we packed up and headed down mountain. Will visit again later in the Summer.

Great campground and overall camping experience. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly

The C Loop is mostly well maintained. It would be nice if they would clear the shortcut to the bathhouse near C32. C32 has one step up from your vehicle then a slope up to the campsite. You can clearly see your neighbors from all sides. I noticed many sites have 4 or 5 steps up from the car park. The bear box on this site opens from the top which may be hard for a short person the reach the bottom of the box. The road noise was loud during the day but was more quiet at night. If you are light sleeper, I recommend earplugs.

I have been coming here for many years. I usually stay for a week and hike every day. Great hiking opportunities can be had right from the campground.

Semi walk to, well maintained sites, clean comfort rooms with hot showers from heaven. Flowering trees and shrubs were everywhere, making the camp gorgeous and looking like a Fairytale village. Make sure you utilize the Bear boxes, Rangers are serious about keeping bears wild. The camp store has bathrooms a smoking area and is really well stocked with everything you'll need to have a successful camp or hike. The Blue Ridge Parkway runs between the campground and the Pisgah Inn, so you will get road noise. Bonus, there are at least 3 trails you can get to right from the campground. The mount pisca trailhead.Frying Pan, and the mountain to sea trail.

This campground is "old school", but it can accommodate a wide range of camping, from tent to a 29' travel trailer. RV sites are paved and mostly level. Great tent pads. Ample bath house access, but only two showers in the entire campground. Poor cell reception. Good hiking trails directly from the campground. The walk to the Fryingpan fire tower is a great hike. Easy access to Graveyard Field and Black Balsam trail access areas. Be aware of crowds and overflowing parking in these popular areas on weekends. About 20 miles to full services in Brevard.

Nice clean campground with nice bathrooms.

Such a great campground! We always love being up there and we feel that it is a place where we truly "disconnect". No Wi-Fi access for us, which is refreshing and feels more like camping. We will be back!

Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed talking to them. Our campsite was maintained pretty well. We had trees/bushes on 3 sides so we had pretty good privacy. There was plenty of room for the tent, a hammock, sitting around the fire, and we had our main tent set up in the bed of the truck. The parking spot backed into the site which was perfect for the truck tent. We were near 2 bathrooms. The one for our loop was okay and did not have a shower. The other loop had a bathroom with a shower and seemed much cleaner/newer. The shortcut trail to the store was not too far from this site either. It did rain a lot the weekend we were there, but it didn't stop us from getting a couple of hikes in. The campground had starting points for the Frying Pan and the Mount Pisgah trails that we ended up doing. We would definitely stay here again and at the same site.

Had a great visit to Mt Pisgah Campground. It was a little rough start trying to find a level site, but we are newbies and finally figured out how to find the most level part of an unlevel site. It is a lovely shaded campground. The bathrooms were clean. The Park ranger Lucinda and the site host Mark were very helpful helping us to figure it all out. There are a couple of convenient hiking trails right near the campground and many others not far away. Cell phone coverage is spotty, yet some nights we were able to read email and send texts. Most of all it was 58 degrees in the mornings in August!

Beautiful and well only drawback bathrooms were not ideally situated and not very accessible for handicapped

Some sites are better than others. Ours was nice (C19). It was recommended by somebody else. Not quite big enough for our screenhouse but it really wasn't needed. There are tons of things to do and see if you are an outdoor enthusiast. Devils Courthouse, Black Balsam, Graveyard Fields and Cradle of Forestry are all nearby. Dupont State Forest is also very close by

Love this campground, weve camped here a few times and every time we come its been wonderful! Quiet campground, spacious sites, beautiful area, trails lead right from the grounds, camp store nearby, rangers close by for questions if needed. Plenty of bathrooms and showers available. Right off the blue ridge parkway, easily accessible. We love this area!

This is a beautiful campground, draped in lush foliage. We stayed at site D11 with a fully covered tent pad under low-hanging trees. Each site has its own food locker. The showers and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. From the campground, countless trails connect to the larger trails of the Pisgah National Forest. I accessed the trail to summit Mt. Pisgah from a trailhead only a few sites from ours.There was no electricity at the site we stayed.It was incredibly rainy, and pouring for the three days and two nights we stayed. Neither the tent pad nor the site flooded, however. Good drainage.The Pisgah Inn is just across the street along with a camp store. You can get just about anything you need including prepared food.

Mount Pisgah Campground was awesome! The restroom facilities were well maintained, the campground was quiet and the rangers and hosts very helpful! We are looking forward to going again! Highly recommended.

Great campground. The weather was perfect mid-July (60 at night, below 80 at the hottest part of the day) Staff was nice and helpful. We had 2 bars of service with Verizon and could easily send texts/make calls.If you need extra ice or firewood theres a country store across the parkway at the inn that was very convenient to restock those items and others. (2 min drive from the tent sites) Mount Pisgah Summit trail was a beautiful hike with a rewarding lookout at the top, lots of elevation gain though so might be harder for little ones. The Frying Pan trail up to the old lookout tower was great for anyone, gravel road all the way up.

Beautiful campground on the mountain. The sights are very tight to back into and are exact measurements.

This is a wonderful campground! The rangers are friendly and helpful. There are many potable water stations and the bathrooms are close by. This spot is approximately 30 feet to the bathroom so there is a decent amount of foot traffic throughout the day. There is a nice canopy of trees to shield from the sun and rain. All in all a great site!

This is one of the coolest campgrounds I have ever been too! The Rhododendron groves add so much privacy and the bathrooms and showers are easily accessible! The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging! I will definitely visit this spot again!

While leaving and stopping by the dump station, I noticed a camper rinsing their black water tank onto the pad at the dump station, mentioned it to the ranger/hosts, they said it was okay. Never heard of it being okay to dump black tank rinsings onto the pad but that is what they said. Then they said if a camper did not have a hose they could dump directly into the sewer drain, no hose needed. No thank you!Parking spaces are at a premium as all the sites are small. That is okay if you abide by the rules but other campers were parking their vehicle on the side of the campground loop road, which was already tight anyway. Two vehicles max is what is shown but there were times with 4 vehicles and a trailer for the entire stay, nothing was said by the campground hosts that I am aware of. While the scenery on the Blue Ridge Parkway is worth seeing, and the area near the campground has a lot to offer, I would never stay at this campground again.

C4 is the best site. Super secluded of all the sites, good hammock trees, lots of shade, helpful rangers, near bathroom, easy walk to camp store and quick drive to trails.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
