Quiet and family-friendly campground. The camp store, gift shop, and snack shop are all within walking distance. You have access to multiple hiking trails from the campsite. Easy to reserve a site through recreation.gov, but do it well in advance of the date you plan to camp. Camp in October. You will enjoy seeing the peak leaf season and sitting around a campfire on a cold night.

We camp at Mt Pisgah Campground several times each year, and we ALWAYS LOVE IT. The Rangers are fantastic. We love to hike the trails and take in the super fresh air. Thank you!

Great campground and staff. Plenty of spaces to choose from. Shower and bathroom facilities available - check map layout for locations. Make reservations for breakfast at Pisgah Inn or bring your own food over anytime of day and use chairs outside to take in the view. Plenty of hiking trails from campground or short drive away.

Pisgah CG is justly popular. I tent camp and enjoy the number of Rhodoendum enclosed sites. This time I was surrounded by orange and yellow flowerinng jewelweed and white snakeroot as well. TIP:: Look for the newer bear boxes that have a door and enclosed bottom. The top opening ones do not work for people under 5'8" and I was once surprised by a mouse in the food. Loop C has hot water and showers in a clean tiled bathroom. Due to staff shortage they no longer post reserved information on the reserveable site posts and since reservations can be made ONE not TWO days in advance, choose only FF sites if you don't have a reservation.

Great campground right off the parkway and close to many hikes. Clean restrooms, hot showers, nice fire pits and tent pads. There were a few loud campers but you get that at any campground. Some spots are pretty close to each other, so check the map in advance if you want to select a more private lot.

Tropical storm Ida made things interesting on loop C of the campground. In the afternoon before the storm a Ranger, Amanda, made several trips around the campground informing us of things like US276 being closed in both directions, and that the parkway was closed Southbound to Cherokee. She wanted to let us know about the minimal escape routes. Evidently, there were only three occupied sites that night. I slept on and off listening to the rain and the wind blowing our rainfly around. We woke up to a broken 10x10 canopy that had collected enough of the heavy rain to overload one side and collapsed on the picnic table. I'm glad it wasn't heavy snow!
It rained on and off the next day so we just walked around the campground trails and other loops. We needed ice at the camp store which closed early the day before because of the storm, and we spent some time on the rockers in front of the store using what little AT&T cell coverage was available in the area.
The following day was clear and dry, so we went to the Devil's Courthouse parking area and walked over the tunnel to the Little Sam Knob Trail. It's an area that we have visited many times in past years. That night the campground was full (Labor Day weekend).
We availed ourselves of hot showers in the campground comfort station. The only issue with the men's side was on that last day when the heater in the men's room decided to stay on and heat the room to sauna temperature for more than 24 hours. The campground personnel kept the comfort station clean.
We really enjoyed the campground and the area surrounding it with its many trails and places to visit. We had reservations in June, but ended up in the Balsam Mountain campground down the road because Mt. Pisgah was closed to all but hard-sided campers because of bear activity.

We absolutely love Mt. Pisgah campground. The sites are pretty private due to a lot of trees/shrubbery, so you don't get the usual crowded campground feel. The facilities are nice and you don't typically have to wait around for the shower unless you try to go at peak times. There are nice trails accessible from the campground and the Blue Ridge Parkway has so much to offer within a handful of miles either way. No cell signal, but who goes camping to stay on their phone anyway?

Very well run campsite. Check in process was easy, rangers were visible and helpful but not intrusive, bathrooms and campsites were clean and well-maintained. Campsite is in a great location for hiking. Several trails leave from the campsite and even more are available on the Parkway.
