Great campsites, and the river is awesome for swimming, playing, and fishing. Bathrooms are clean, and they have convenient access to firewood.

Have camped here multiple times over the past three years and every time has been excellent. The host(s) have always been excellent and do a great job keeping the facilities clean even with the occasional rude/loud/mildly inebriented guest. It is a family-friendly environment and overall the best campground in Pisgah.You won't get ATT or most other cell services here but isn't that kind of the point in the first place? Follow the protocol for using the bear lockers too, it's a good for you and the bears.

So close to town but you'll feel a million miles away! I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. It has roomy sites, it's quiet, great access to picnic and river areas. Great for swimming, fishing, hiking and bike riding. You can't go wrong here. BUT....you need to be comfortable with zero cell service or internet. Drive a few minutes down the road if you need to connect. Clean bathrooms and showers. We saw a bear one morning. AWESOME!

Campsite was clean and gravel was even nicely raked upon our arrival. Clean bathrooms and showers. Courteous and friendly camp host. Campsite 19 is perfect if you need more than the 2 car max because it is at the end of a dead end road and there is additional space for parking without blocking anyones access. We paid a $5 upcharge for one additional car.

Loved the group site. Plenty of room for many tents. You feel like you are on a secluded site away from the rest of the campground.

Restrooms and showers are heated and kept very clean. Campsites are very nice. Heard the whip-poor-will every evening. Excellent fishing for brook, brown and rainbow trout.

This campground was very difficult to find. Once I actually reached it, it was nice.

First time staying in this campground. Was a little disappointed that Helene damage had essentially closed off one side of the river but am grateful they have recovered enough to open the campground. This campground is small and, for our stay, very quiet and probably the cleanest campground we've ever been to. The bathroom was a bit of a hike from our site on #18 but well maintained. Diana, one of the camp hosts, was very pleasant and helpful.

I really love this space. It's close to civilization, but you mostly feel a sense of seclusion, especially during the week. Yes, weekends are busy but it's so beautiful and peaceful here how can you find fault? I'll l always remember here as the place my little boy caught his first trout on fly. Showers and bathrooms are clean and tidy.

This is a beautiful campground. The camp hosts were amazing and we loved our site and the closeness to the River. Our only issue was our hand washing station was stolen during the first night and the second night we had something weird happen with our fire which had everyone on edge.
@WilliamH158481 · Camped on Jul 11, 2024 at Campsite #21
Clean spaces. Very nice hosts. The bathrooms and showers were always clean. Peaceful place to go. We stayed a week and enjoyed fishing, hiking and walking our dogs. We try to go every year. Thank you

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
