Very friendly and helpful camp hosts. Its a small campground with tight parking spaces. Lots of generators going. Convenient to lots of hiking trails.

My site was in the middle of a field which received sunlight all day- no shade - no other camping spots so I went home

The lake was very nice, our site was level, the check-in process was easy, bathrooms were clean, and being right on the Parkway was excellent. We liked out site (A11 Loop A), but I did see a few sites that I would not have wanted. So I would do a little research on which site you get.

always enjoy camping here and can tell lots of cleanup was done after the storm. Some of the camp sites on A loop are very close to each other, tent spots particularly and lack of space/privacy.

Our spot on Loop A (#2) was great for two small tents. We had partial privacy as we were right on the loop trail path. The trees nearby were perfect for hammocks. The views were incredible and the grounds are coming along from last years storm. Thankful to spend time in nature. Be prepared for a more rugged experience until the shower houses are restored.

We only stayed one night at Julian Price State Park so we didn't get to experience much of the campground. Our site was nice and pretty close to level. The "comfort station", i.e., the restrooms, were old and dated and needed a fresh coat of paint.

Good campground, hiking around lake, and convenience near Blowing Rock, Boone, and Grandfather mountain

Love this park! So sad to see Loops B, C, D in such disarray. I'd not stayed in Loop A in decades and without memory of the sites, I picked 27 and it was by far the smallest site I'd ever camped on, and there was no view of the lake or access to the water! My husband and I had a good time anyway, and loved that the park was even open. The bathrooms were kept clean, the trails we hiked were as lovely as ever in spite of a reduced work force. Please keep up the good work. I'm a member of Alt National Parks on FB and I know how bad the political situation in this country is. Stay strong! Resist!

We stayed in A02 in a 24 hybrid travel trailer. Thats what I put in when I was making my reservation but A02 is not really suited for an RV and loop A as a whole is better for tent campers. We drove Into the loop backwards so we could have our door facing our camp space. Our fire ring and picnic table were 10 feet from the Lake trail which doubles as the path to the bathhouse so it was quite busy. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about 150 feet away so that was a little noisy too. We had a good time even with those unexpected drawbacks. It is a beautiful location and close to Boone, Grandfather Mountain, and Sugar Mountain.

This campground provides easy access to some of the top scenic locations in WNC. Its right on the Blue Ridge Parkway. No cell phone service which makes it a true getaway in the mountains.

Our family had SUCH a great time camping here. It was so quite and peaceful. Our particular camp sites had direct access to the lake and the views were unmatched. We can't wait to book again next year!

Great campsite! Quiet with good privacy, just wish the bathrooms were a bit bigger for the amount of primitive campers there were

Compact and convienent spot on the Parkway. My site arrangement was confusing with the neighboring site for parking and the tent pad, hard to know which was which. Some road noise from the parkway but not that much.

It was so great to be being back! This time we were in Loop A with a beautiful lake view.

Bathrooms were cleaner than I have ever seen. Thanks for all your hard work

This campground has an unbeatable location, close to lots of hikes, and the towns of Blowing Rock (7 min) and Boone (17 min). The sites at the campground are hit or miss - we originally booked A27 which was too small for our tent - but the ranger was kind enough to let us switch to a better site. The facilities are nothing special. There was no potable water on the campground. For the location, I would absolutely stay again!

This was my first time visiting the Park and I was very pleased with the camping area and facilitites in addition to the trails. I can't wait for a return trip to explore more of the Park.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
