Gorgeous spot with lake views and access. We hung a hammock up and watched the paddlers go by. We even put our own paddle board in right from the edge of camp. The trail around the lake is two spots away and the boat house felt like summer camp with its little snack counter. Ground is uneven and knotty at times. If it rains it can be slippery. The bathroom is a bit of a walk. But these are really the only complaints I can think of! We loved this spot and will be coming back.

We were at site A25 right on the lake which is very nice. The bigger parking spot is great and the site offers a couple points to access the lake. A couple trees are spaced perfectly for hammocks. Its a nice site BUT the picnic table and fire pit area are in an odd spot on the campsite and surrounded by roots that make it difficult to walk and be in that area. The A loop bathrooms are pretty rough. This very popular park should be doing much better in this department. D Loop bathhouses are nice. Kayaking on the lake was fun. We were there in mid June and the weather was perfect! I even had to wear a jacket in the mornings. I look forward to visiting Julian Price Campground every summer!

I stayed in A loop right on the lake. sites are really nice, bathrooms are clean. Hot showers and dish washing sink at shower house with hot water are a plus.

Beautiful setting right on the parkway. Enjoyed the trails and canoeing during our visit. Proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock makes this a winner as well.

Campground sites next to the lake have been loved to death. Serious need for renovation of tent pads, trail system, and restrooms. Sad to see our National Parks in such disrepair! Adequate funding is needed!
We live in the area and due to the recent crowds at Price Park Campground, I rented the campsite for a picnic with friends. Site A-25 has a lovely view of Price Lake but the picnic table was much too small for 6 people. One of the picnic benches was leaning away from the table - it did not feel stable and this site did not have a grill - only a grate over the fire pit. We parked our cars at the site while we walked around the lake, then moved to Price Park for our picnic. Price Park was not crowded (perhaps due to the rainy weather). We found a great location beside a stream and had a delightful picnic. We have camped at Price Lake Campground several times over the years and have always enjoyed the area.

Rangers were ALL very helpful. Do yourself a favor and hike the Boone Branch trail. It goes right through the campground...can’t miss it.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
