This is a great campground. Lots of kids for kids to play with. Staying on one of the loops makes for easy bike riding. The campsite host and his daughter are both super kind, informative, and helpful. Will be back.

Nice campground. I stayed in A36 and it was decent. A lot of the sites are pretty close to each other so just be aware of that. I was really hoping to try out a new hammock sleep system but this site didn't have any trees in a suitable spot to hang it. Driving around I didn't really see too many other sites that would have worked either, so just be aware of that if you're a hammock camper. Overall it was a quiet stay even though the campground was full. Restrooms were clean and well kept and the staff were very friendly.

Campsites were large, shaded, and felt private. Family friendly. Bathrooms were decent. We had horses across the street at the stables and were able to ride bikes back and forth to tend to them. Hint: bring a zip tie to hold the water faucet in the "on" position.

The experience was a mixture of yous and downs. 1. There were kids YELLING throughout the stay. After discussing this with the camp host on the 2nd evening, he talked to the parents that night about it. He found out that one of the kids involved is Autistic ( which if figured was the case. I'm a retired Special Ed. Teacher). The parents informed the host that they would try to control the situation. On Sunday, the host got involved in a tantrum that the youngster was having for at least 2 hours. I have high praises for the host. 2. There are NOT any exterior lights on the "D" loop shower house. There was a Copperhead scare after we first arrived since the same Autistic youngster found a skin off of a Copperhead snake on the side of the walkway to the shower house. Lights were in dire need each night for the safety of all campers. I had used my type lights each night to help illuminate that walkway the best way that I could. The campfire that I had was some help but lighting need to be there for the safety aspect of everyone!!!3. When we broke camp and went to the dump station,we whooped over 1.5 hours in line to use the dump station! This is TRULY and Utterly UNEXCEPTABLE!!!!!!! There should have been more than on dump station available for use!

D41 is a handicap camp site , but there is a large step down fromthe asphalt to the gravel . it is very easy to fall off the edge of it . If the gravel was raised to the same level as the asphalt it would be much safer.

Bandy Creek is one of our favorite places to visit--our last camping weekend was no exception. Camp host Russell was fantastic--friendly, encouraging, helpful, and could very often be seen around the campgrounds; the rangers in the visitor center were helpful and friendly. The bathhouse was well-maintained and clean.

The camp was beautiful and kept up great. The camp host Russ was very professional and extremely helpful. He educated us about the camp's amenities, rules, bears, and snakes. He even gave us tips on getting better reception from our RV antenna.

We left early due to weather, but the campground is nice and peaceful. The showers were warm and clean, too. Only issue I would bring up is that the park feels woefully understaffed now.

I took my two daughters, ages 17 and 13, camping for the first time and this is where we chose to go. After driving all day, we finally made it in and got our tent set up but we didnt have time to see anything before it was dark so we booked our spot for another night. In the middle of the first night (2am) we woke up to people having a domestic dispute right beside our campsite. It was so scary and my girls have never heard a fight like that. We waited in the tent until the woman walked away and the man drove after her and I got my girls in the car and we left. We came back a couple hours later and I got our tent in the car and left again. I called the next day and requested a refund because that was terrible. They did refund the second night but not the first night. I would not stay here again.

Me and my wife visited Bandy creek in early July (weekend of the 4th). We had stayed in a cabin at the nearby Pickett CCC state memorial park about a year prior on our honeymoon, so we decided we wanted to try out tent camping at Big South Fork since we had heard that it was a nice park and we loved the atmosphere of Pickett. Also, we camped earlier this year at Rock Creek Campground in Obed Wild, which had primitive tent camping and facilities.The area around BSF and Bandy creek had many of the same things that we loved about Pickett (aside from proximity to natural water... yes, even though it is in the name, the campground is actually quite far from bandy creek). Obed Wild also had nearby water access, but its facilities were far inferior. My wife has been pregnant for both tent camping trips (at Obed - before we knew we should be expecting - and Bandy Creek), so the fully plumbed bathrooms at Bandy creek were much appreciated. The flushing toilets were far superior to the outhouses at Rock Creek, and there were also showers. Our campsite was EXTREMELY close to the bath house (intentionally), but if we return, I think I would reserve one of the sites A44-A48 because they have a bit more privacy, and the back of the site faces the woods rather than being sandwiched between another campsite, the road, and the bath house like we were in A35. I would also warn that there are limited free outdoor activities around Bandy creek. There are some trails, but they are either quite bland or rather long (the best trails seem to require a drive to visit). Nonetheless, there is a pool that only costs $3 for a day pass which we felt was reasonable, and the pool was kept very clean. It is a 3-5ft pool with a secondary, shallower "kiddie pool" but I don't know if it has a zero entry area, sorry. The camp store had everything we needed and more. Bandy Creek would be a 5 star site, but we encountered a lot of bugs on our visit, and we wanted to enjoy more outdoor activities.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
