Bandy Creek was one of the best campgrounds Ive stayed at! The bathrooms were a great size and always very clean, as were the campsites. Gorgeous area to visit! My family and I will definitely be back!

The Bandy Creek Visitor Center staff was very friendly and informative. The Bandy Creek Visitor Center is a good place to get background, alerts, and guidance to best choose activities for your stay. The Bandy Creek campsites are well-spaced, level, and clean. The bear box worked out well for food storage and the bear-proof trash cans were conveniently located.The Twin Arches are a must-see. Other places that are quite amazing and beautiful such as Split Bow Arch, Bear Creek Overlook, Blue Heron Mining Community, and Leatherwood Ford. Nearby Pickett State Park has an arch and rock shelter/overhang that are accessed easily from the road. Rugby is a great place to see historic structures and learn about the history from helpful people who take care of this special place.This was my third time to camp and explore Big South Fork. Every time there something different even in the same places.

Site A8 was a great spot for us to camp with other friends within the circle. It was just as private for us a group site would have been, but much cheaper than what the group site would have cost. Very awesome to have a bear box for food containment. The picnic table is looking a bit rough but was still quite sturdy, so bring a tablecloth.

Very nice campground with all paved and mostly level sites. A few sites have a slight slope toward the rear, but not bad. Great visitor center across the road has all the information on things to see and do in the area. Close to Pall Mall, TN and SGT Alvin York State Historical Park. Camp store has ice and firewood. Lots of horse campers here with stables across the main road.

We loved camping at Bandy Creek. The bathhouse was immaculately clean and well maintained. The campground was nice and the spaces were a good size. I brought my chihuahua and my friends on the site next to me (they were at 42, I was at 41) brought their two dogs as well. We had a great time. It was close to a lot of hiking and activities. We did however encounter a camper the next day who had his Rottweilers off leash and one charged my chihuahua. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS ON A LEASH. ITS THE RULES. Children and adults fearful of dogs do not appreciate it. My small dog did not appreciate it and I can tell he was ready to bite if necessary. He is 12 pounds. That dog was easily 90+ pounds. FOLLOW THE CAMP RULES OR GO BACKCOUNTRY. These rules are to keep everyone safe and happy. The camp staff were great and made rounds about the sites all day if ever anyone needed anything. I cant wait to go back next year.

We took 3 of our grandchildren to camp the weekend of the Spring Planting festival. We thoroughly enjoyed the festival, visiting the different booths the rangers share information at. We took advantage of the shuttles to visit the nearby homesteads and the demonstrations going on there. Of course, the grandchildren also enjoyed hiking the trails and cooking smores at camp. BSF never disappoints.

Campground spaces were clean, spacious and very quiet. Hiked out of the campground on a nice loop. There are so many good trails to explore.

Stayed in site 29. It was a little tight getting my 38 ft DP in the spot but i was able to do it. after leveling the front tires were off the ground. But had room for my toad and the site is nice. Real close to the bath house. Bath houses are clean and well done. Water is hot but there is no heat. we were there when temps were in low to mid 40s so it was an issue if you used the shower. The Campground is well maintained and sites are spacious. Its a great clean quite CG. There was a host on the property. All in all i would recommended. there were some sites that were more level than the one i picked but it was workable.

The campgrounds are great, But the road with the 180 degree turns up a mountain with a 13 degree road should be in your description.we have a 35' 5th wheel trailer and i was hoping nothing broke on the way up, because there is no way to stop and fix a problem. make sure you check the path to travel into the camps. lesson learned

Love this area, loved this campground.
@CynthiaK948975 · Camped on Mar 18, 2025 at Campsite #D21
Nice camp sites and good hiking trails in the park. Anything having to do with water sucks-you have to zip tie the water pump ON at each camp site, multiple knobs and shower heads broken in bathrooms, cant turn water hose on at dump station. Poor signage on trails.
@RhondaH4566775 · Camped on Mar 10, 2025 at Campsite #D27
Our sit was beautiful, just needed some backfill on the back side of our site. Site was large enough for our 38 ft camper, but no parking. The area is very beautiful!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
