We took 3 of our grandchildren to camp the weekend of the Spring Planting festival. We thoroughly enjoyed the festival, visiting the different booths the rangers share information at. We took advantage of the shuttles to visit the nearby homesteads and the demonstrations going on there. Of course, the grandchildren also enjoyed hiking the trails and cooking smores at camp. BSF never disappoints.

We had a great time in site C4 with our 21' travel trailer. The site was easy to back into. We had just enough length for the trailer and disconnected 1/2-ton pickup. Nice fire ring and picnic table. It rained one night pretty steady, but the site drained very well and dried quickly. We did have a bit of difficulty with the water spigot. The same issue was reportedly happening to many other sites. Seems the age/design of the spigots had reached a point of time where replacement or reconditioning was necessary.

This was a nice campground and our first time here .The facilities are modern and well kept. The bath houses are all the same in each section with showers. The swimming pool was only open on Friday - Sunday so we did not get to do that. Bring bug spray the flies were bad. Overall it was a quiet campground. If we return we will stay in the tent only section so not to hear the ac from the campers. It is a remote area and no stores near by so bring plenty of supplies and food. We left here and went to Twin Arches and hiked there . Then went to Pickett State Park had a picnic at the lake and hiked to Hazard Cave and Natural Bridge. We had planned on going back and camping another night but the rain came so we left the area.
