Bandy Creek was one of the best campgrounds Ive stayed at! The bathrooms were a great size and always very clean, as were the campsites. Gorgeous area to visit! My family and I will definitely be back!

Nice campsites. Great campground workers. Camp store is seriously price gouging. Beware

I really enjoy this campground. The entire site was as close to garbage free as any site we go to. Excellent and clean bath houses.

Saturday morning was near single digits, but it meant that we had the campground mostly to ourselves. The vintage RV kept us warm but it was reassuring to know that the bath house was operating and heated. Our hike to the angel falls overlook was spectacular. Much thanks to the park attendant in the visitor center who helped us plan our day's outing to enjoy the unique beauty of the south fork gorge in winter.
The site was perfect! I was in Loop D, very wooded, clean, and private. The staff at the store was helpful for all my questions. I had full hook up, so did not visit facilities, but they were nice around and the grounds were clean. The price was great for full hook ups. I did have an issue with the water lever remaining down, but I just had a strap that I wrapped around it- hindsight I should have reported it, but it slipped my mind. In my travels I visited every other campground in the NP, and this was a perfect pick for my preference. From NC, but if passing through I would most certainly stay again.
My family and I have been coming to Bandy Creek campground for over 25 years. First in tents and then in recent years, in our camper. This trip was our 3rd this season! It started off great, but then the host came over and told us our dogs barked too much. Well, they are little and we always make sure they are quiet and well-mannered. They do bark from time to time when they hear other dogs or children, but only for a short while. We hear dogs and other loud children but never complain. We figure when you're in close quarters, there are going to be noises. Then, a young ranger came and took our cooler in broad daylight. We are very bear aware and always put trash and food items away. (The trash was left sitting at our campsite). Then, the instructions were wrong as to where to retrieve it. We thought someone had stolen our cooler - only filled with drinks, no food. Then, the ranger tried to argue with me as to where it was and asked me if I had read the form. We are well traveled individuals and camp several times a year at different places with different friends. This experience has made me weary of coming to Bandy Creek again. I worry what will happen the next time. Not a good way to spend a long weekend away.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
