We have been camping here since at least the early 1980s. This year was the first year we have had a fifth wheel camper and not a tent (others in our group are still tent camping.) It has always been one of our favorite campgrounds. Sites are great for tents as they are almost all level. The site we had was a bit tight getting in and out but it was great, offering privacy and ample room for our group to gather. The campground and bathhouses are well maintained and clean. All personnel with whom we interacted were friendly and helpful. It was an extra bonus to have been there during the Spring Planting Days Festival. It was well organized and educational and not too crowded like the city festivals are. They could have used another food truck or 2 however as the lines for the only food one (other was kettle corn) were very long. Since this was our first time needing a dump station, we discovered that the signage to find it and direction to enter could be more prominent. The space is tight for a big rig. The field across the street from the campground is great for star gazing. The area is geared toward horseback riding so there are nearby stables and trails, as well as hiking trails and put-in spots on the nearby river for kayaking/canoeing. I have no doubt we will return in the future.

Very peaceful! Great campground, clean, quiet, and nice staff. The bathrooms were very well maintained. There was even an outdoor sink to wash dishes and such. They have a water bottle filling station. The hiking trails were well maintained and gorgeous nature/geology. Great photo ops. Magnificent views!

We really enjoy the Big South Fork area, and have been coming to Bandy Creek Campground since 2006. The campground is one of our favorites, and it is still in good shape. Bathrooms are very clean. The only negative from our trip were fellow campers who seem to have no problem with incessantly barking dogs. It really ruins the peace and quiet of the camping experience. There was also a big 5th wheel camper several sites away that blared country music while simultaneously playing two external televisions. I would have hoped the rangers would have patrolled this. I didn’t see any campground hosts while there.

A very nice and well kept camp ground. Plenty of space around camp sites, not cluttered packed like the rest we have been.

Really Really nice campground. Perfect for families and kids. Great bathhouse. Great campsites. Lots to do in the Big South Fork. Lots of open space and lots of deep woods. Lots of sights including all the cliffs overlooks and arches. We totally love this place.
