Site 11.Great private, spacious campsite.I would recommend. Next to creek. Can fit 3 tents easily. Restrooms a bit far.

Nice site, with some cool big boulders around it. Good location towards the front entrance. The only downside was being so close to the restroom, we got a few whiffs of it.

My daughter loved the area and big rocks around our campsite. Accessible to Tuolemne Meadows.

Great campsite. We couldnt have a wood fire because of fire restrictions and theres no water so thats why its not five stars. Otherwise, awesome place to camp.

Great. I really like that there are no campfires. I'd rather smell the Jeffery Pines, not smoke from camp fires.

Lovely and remote, with large private areas

A really lovely camping experience! Camped at campsite 8, which is right next to campsite 7, so you will have neighbors. Also, be sure to check the map to see how close this campsite is to your desired activities - we had to drive quite a bit to reach this campsite, and ended up cooking our dinner and setting up in the dark. Vault toilets were well-maintained, and there wasn't anyone to greet us at the entrance of the campsite, but we found the site just fine. No potable water!

Sloped sites

Beautiful sites and wonderful rangers. Come prepared for cold cold nights and youre all set!

Stayed at site 14, quiet and spaced out. not sure if the only available parking place was on our site or not. People would walk through our site to get to the rock playground as my kiddos called it. We loved climbing them and exploring.

ok site but we had two problems - 1)Upon arrival we learned there was a no fire rule in place that was NOT mentioned anywhere on recreation.gov 2)The nearby sites were supposed to be 4 people max but were occupied by large and loud groups

Had a very great time at Yosemite and this was a good base camp. Campsite is secluded and there is access to the creek if you walk across a big log. Close to the bathrooms which has its pros and cons (close at night but sometimes smelly). Saw some deer from camp. Lots of mosquitos so be prepared!

Very nice campsite. As usual groups noisy, but quiet by quiet hours
@JennA8812447 · Camped on Jul 19, 2025 at Campsite #31
Vault toilets in great condition. Some sites are much more separated and shaded than others

Staying in site 11 was perfect! Its off the road, there was a great boulder there we used to star gaze and also served as privacy. Loved the running water next to the site. The bathrooms were clean and everything was well maintained. Would definitely book here again!

Beautiful location, cozy campsite. Unfortunately, unlike other campsite we were staying on, there was not campground host keeping an eye on whats going on.Trash on our tentsite was one thing, but people not following the rules was the worst experience we have ever made! People disrespected the quiet time, noisy, listening to music or watching movies, children screaming, pets were not on the leash, food was stored outside the bearsafe boxes. It was like a wild west revival!For us being used to campgrounds such as North Rim and Sunset Bryce Canyon, being able to relax and enjoy the nature, this stay was really disappointing! But the campground itself is nice and cozy. There was water available in the creek.

Coming back to this campground after a day in a busy valley was amazing. The campsite is far from the rest of sites, right near the forest and by the creek. There is a deer hanging out around the campground, walking from one site to another, and its very quiet and peaceful.
@JianWED29D77F2 · Camped on Jul 9, 2025 at Campsite #29
A chill place with many nearby destinations to explore. The camp site does not have portable water, so prepare to bring your own water, or a filter.The trail to El Captain got millions of mosquitos, be sure to wear protection net mask and long pants.

I would 100% stay here again! Its centralized in the park, making it easy to explore in 1 direction 1 day, and the other direction the next.

Great campground. Off the beaten path and more rustic for Yosemite standards.

I was lucky enough to score 4 nights at Tamarack Flats, including 4th of July, to escape the fireworks where I live, which terrorize my dogs. This campground is unlike camping in the valley or at Wawona, especially during the day when everyone is off adventuring. It is remote, green & peaceful. Fortunately we had a site that could accommodate 2 cars (actually had 3 for 2/5 days)& 3 tents but we saw some sites that barely had one flat surface for a tent (41?) & one where the fire pit was pretty much in the road (54). The bearboxes were new & much bigger than the dimensions in the Recreation.gov app, think standard sized box. We had a 50qt Rtic, 2 medium coolers plus a square soft sided cooler and everything fit. No bears but we did see a couple beautiful deer. We had rangers come by 2 of the days, the first visit was 2 younger rangers one of whom specialized in Passive Aggressive Communication, the second visit was different rangers, more experienced and friendly. Both visits were informational, we weren't doing anything wrong but gosh, the first young young lady needs to chill. Bathrooms are vault and they were good right after being cleaned but by the end of the day it was terrible. I would walk past 2 sets to get to a less used one. Because the main purpose of my visit was to relax with my dogs, I did not desire to get up at 530am, but I was the only one i think. It seemed like I would awake to banging buckets, horns honking (think bike horns?), and literally 2 guys playing catch outside of my tent at 6:37 am. But despite sassy rangers and early risers I loved it there and will return. Great location with a 20 min drive to Crane Flat gas station (ice, flush toilets, snacks), 30+ min to the valley (swam in the cool waters of the Merced River), about 1 hour to Tenaya Lake (paddleboard, chill on the beach), and can't forget to include, walking through the forest in the campground itself. Biggest recommendation - do your research on camp site, they are not all equal

No host. There was a campsite that seemed to be reserved for a host but nobody was there. We definitely feel more comfortable knowing that somebody is there, especially at a campground with no cell coverage. No water also makes it tough to camp. Even when you bring your own. Campsites are very close together. We will camp at a different campground next time for sure.
@GireeshS09A3D7 · Camped on Jul 2, 2025 at Campsite #48
Its a great campground, but very rustic, no water, so if you are looking for some level of comfort this is not as comfortable as some of the other more popular ones close to the village.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
