Bogan Flats Campground is located in the Sopris Ranger District, White River National Forest (2 hrs 8 min east of Grand Junction, CO) with an elevation of 7,583 feet. There are a total of 36 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the beginning of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 80 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Fees range from $31.00 to $151.00. Activities include biking, fishing, horseback riding, hiking trails.

Bogan Flats is on the river in the beautiful Crystal River Valley. Some sites are tucked among trees but most have little privacy. The town of Marble has one busy BBQ restaurant but no supplies - not even ice! Big trucks from the marble quarry (hence the towns name) frequent the road so it is not safe for pedestrians. But if your focus is fishing, this seems a lovely place to access the river.

The campsite location is amazing with clean bathrooms, well kept grounds and well marked sites. The Crystal River was right behind our campsite and provided some nice background sounds especially at night. We really appreciated that the campground host checked on the water testing results and confirmed we could use the water near our site.You should definitely take the time to go 6 miles up the road to the town of Marble, check out the sculptures and drive up to the Marble mine to get some free marble!

We stayed in site 5. The river is a very steep drop off from these upper sites in the campground, and there really wasn't any river access for most sites. The bathroom in the upper tier was extremely smelly in the whole area, though the camp host obviously kept it clean.

Bogan Flats is an interesting campground. All sites along the river are good; #16 was outstanding. Some sites away from the river ate in open sunlight with not as much privacy. The camphost, Mike, was great. Vault toilets weee very clean.

We had an awesome site on the river. It was clean & park host was very helpful when our battery went dead with his booster cables. Will camp here again.

We had a nice tent site in the trees--so enjoyable! We lived that they had bear-proof storage cupboards. The restrooms were clean and odor-free. Mike, the host, was personable and kind.

Great experience. The vault toilet was clean virtually odorless and the toilet paper was well stocked. Quiet and peaceful by the river. Mike was a wonderful host who patiently answered all our questions. Hope to camp here again in the future.

Third consecutive summer at Bogan Flats. I love this campground! Quiet, private, safe, and gorgeous. You have to book early to get the best spots along the Crystal River. Endless excursions close by; towns of Marble and Redstone, beautiful hikes on the backside of Maroon Bells, waterfalls, hot springs, and mountain passes. I cannot recommend Bogan Flats enough.

This is a nice campground that stays pretty full these days. Toilets were kept clean, and the campground is in good repair, and people are mostly following the rules. We had a site in the center for the first time rather than along the river, which isn't as nice, but was still enjoyable.

Bogan Flats is my top camping destination. Love being on the river. It is so spacious, the bathrooms are always kept super clean, a lot of the campsites have plenty of shade if you want that and its a great jump jumping off point for day trips.

Unfortunate that there was no water available.Camp host decided to mow grass and kick up dust around dinner time on Memorial Day. I think he could have chosen a better time to do that.
