This campground is very pretty. However, this site is not meant for tents. The wind was so bad I couldnt set up the tent because there is no tree cover and the wind rolls right off the mountainside and straight down onto these sites. There were no other sites available at any campground around the area otherwise I would have moved. When we arrived the campground attendant came by to tell me the wind was really bad and that hopefully it would die down in the evening. So after trying to set up for about a hour I gave up and left to check out the area. We came back near dusk and set up the tent with my truck parked right next to it to block out some wind. Then, around 10 pm, the wind picked back up and it continued its madness into the morning. Needless to say, I packed up, ate breakfast and left without staying the remainder of our booking. We will not be returning to this campsite and wish the park had a disclosure for tents at this site instead of finding out the hard way.

There was only one water pump working on the entire campground, and the showers weren't available.

Awesome area off the grid. The location is near Redstone and Marble. Carbondale is only about 20 minutes away if you need real supplies. Easy walk down to the river with a small beach. The sites had good privacy from each other, albeit not much shade. The bathrooms were super clean composting toilets with zero smell. Showers were available on one side of the campground, but were temporarily shut on our side. The campground hosts were super friendly, too. I took off a star for the road noise from hwy 133. It was on the other side of the river, which helped, but if you are in a tent here, I recommend ear plugs.

Beautiful grounds. Quiet and private in most campsites.

We've been camping at Redstone for about 20+years. It doesn't matter which loop, the place is always relaxing and mesmerizing. This last time, it appears that there is a new company running the place, as we were changed $9 per night for our vehicle, which is usually towed. We've never heard of that before this summer. Besides that, the hosts are doing a great job of maintaining the campground, which hasn't always been the case. We'll be back.

There3 were no showers in the non-electric section which is what we signed up for. We walked to the other section and found the showers. Had to do the same to get water since there was no water in our section wither. Should have been.

Beautiful location and a nicely secluded site. The host was very friendly. Unfortunately the water was down when we were there, but outside of that, the stay was great!

The water was turned off at the non-electric loop. This made it necessary to go to the electric loop (at least 1/4 mile away)Camp host was very nice and apologetic, but the showers were also locked. This situation was not revealed at the time of registration.Campsites were secluded and nice.

Super nice campground. Appreciated the water and electricity on our site. Sites were available - early June.Easy walk to the town of Redstone - no need to walk on the highway the road in front of the campground is lightly traveled and goes right to Redstone.

We love this campground for our family. This is our second year coming and its a great spot for families with little ones. Feels safe, and close enough to the river for easy access but not so close that you're worried about where the kids are playing. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean this year, and the camp hosts are always pleasant. Don't miss walking through the local shops, and pizza!

Upon arrival we learned the facility had no water. We did not receive any notification to this issue therefore arriving with no water made the start of our stay challenging.

We stayed 3 nights during leaf peeping season. Great base camp for numerous day trips. Clean composting toilet and great drinking water from wells.

Campground was well maintained. We had a site with no electric but water was easy to get to. It was great to have a free hot shower in a clean facility. Trees were going into fall colors so it was beautiful everywhere we went. A gas station in Redstone would be a plus.

My last visit was 15 years ago so i was looking forward to return . It did not disappoint . Still a beautiful setting . The one negative was the traffic noise on Hy 133 which has definitely increased since i last visited . Don't expect to sleep late if your tent camping .

Quiet camp ground close to a cute town. We were in a double site 18/19 and road noise was not an issue (September weekend).

This is the best campground I have ever camped in. Bathrooms were super clean. Todd, the camp host, was amazing and so helpful. It was peaceful, beautiful, with lots of privacy. Our group had the best time. From another camper with my group:Amazing campground. Bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground and Todd was an awesome camp host. The scenery is stunning, the drive into Carbondale is amazing, and the campsites are quite private and wooded. Redstone, a town of 92, is an easy 1mi walk from the campground and is so cool. Dogs got to play in the river near the campsite and had a blast. We also saw some bears (they didn't both us; we didn't bother them) in the campground! This might be my new favorite campsite!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
