The camp host this year is superb. The vault toilets were spotless--which is striking. When we were at Bogan Flats last year, there was a young couple in their late 20s that initialed the maintenance log on the toilet walls, but did NOT maintain or clean that toilets at all--or at least they did not until I hand wrote a message to them saying that it was clear they were just phoning it in, and lying on the restroom logs.

Bogan Flats is an interesting campground. All sites along the river are good; #16 was outstanding. Some sites away from the river ate in open sunlight with not as much privacy. The camphost, Mike, was great. Vault toilets weee very clean.

We love Bogan Flats and have been coming for 25+ years each summer and now bring our kids. We loved the camp hosts this year (Randy & Patti). They were welcoming and worked hard to make our spot ready for us as it had rained before we came and flooded our site. They were easy to check in with and had info about road closures to share. Thank you for a wonderful 10 days of camping. We love it there

great campground that i have been staying at for 50 years now. Beautiful as ever. Only NF campground on the Crystal river. Marble area is quiet and the surrounding mountains are as good as it gets in CO. Jeep trails to Lead King and the town of Crystal are a must for anyone with off road capabilities.

We've been staying at this campground every summer for nearly a decade and always have a great time; unfortunately (probably due to COVID) it was VERY crowded and noisy this year. Many sites had multiple vehicles and extra people, and several groups had dogs who were clearly not camping-experienced - barking, fighting, running into adjacent sites despite the leash rule, etc. Not a particularly peaceful camping trip, but the scenery is always beautiful.

Site #16 was perfect for the roof top tent. Easy to Level, plenty of room, and private. The river was near perfection and accessible directly from our site. Water level was average for the summer and there was space for the kids to play. Fire bans were in effect so we were unable to enjoy the fire ring, but it was there. We had a little weather but the site has plenty of natural shelter to keep everyone happy. Hammock friendly for certain! Ok... so one minor drawback... an occasional whiff. If you know, you know, but it was seriously occasional and didn't put a damper on anyone's visit. I hear the neighboring sites are also nice.

Have always liked Bogan Flats and will continue to camp there. The town of Marble and Beaver Lake has been discovered and has become a circus. There are way too many people abusing the area, leaving their trash, parking all over the place, and generally creating an unpleasant experience.
