South Fork Campground is located in the Ogden Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest (32 min east of Ogden, UT) with an elevation of 5,276 feet. There are a total of 18 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the beginning of September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 50 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Fees range from $25.93 to $51.87. Activities include biking, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Great campsite with the river as a backyard. The bathrooms were close, but not too close and did not smell that bad. Only thing that reduces the score of this site is the lack of shade and the closeness to one of the neighboring campsites tent setup locations. Noise from the road through the canyon was not bad either. Overall a nice site!

We've camped in the same site in the past, it's a great spot next to the river. The campground is nice. A disappointment was that when we arrived the concrete pad had not been swept and was full of dirt, leaves and twigs. It was so bad we swept it ourselves

Stayed in site 19A. Was nice and roomy and had river access. A little close to the toilets, though, which was both good and bad. Camp host was nice.

Campground is definetly starting to show its ageBroken cement,natures speed bumps.I see that every year the funds for south fork are used for improvements at andersom cove

I'm torn on my review. The majority of the experience was good, but there were SO MANY wasps in our campsite and at the campground, it was hard to enjoy our time- especially meal times. The campground is nice, and this campsite (#28) was really good. Plenty of room for a big tent or two, and lots of shade. Only interacted with the camp host once to buy firewood. He was polite enough. The bathrooms were pretty smelly, and there was a wasp nest in the vent of one of the women's restrooms. In our site, we were swarmed with wasps the entire time, except late in the evening, and the very early morning. While we were cooking, and eating it was the worst!! We ended up eating in the car, because there were so many flying around everywhere and landing on our food. Miraculously, none of us were stung (myself and my 2 kids). There was a wasp trap hanging from a tree in our site, and it was full of over 100 wasps (mostly dead). It was terrible! It's too bad, because it's a really nice campground.

We love to float the river and just sit in the water. The camp host drives around to make sure all is well throughout the day. It is a nice place to camp. There's also an ice cave that you must see!

Great place to camp with South Fork Ogden River right next to the camp and Pineview and Causey Reservoirs nearby. There is plenty of both shade and sun.

Site 26 has 4-5 tent spots and and double wide/ double long parking area that easily could fit 4 cars. I thought the site would be more shady from the pictures. I would recommend a pop up canopy. We also booked site 24 and spent most of our meals at that site since it had more shade. The river along this campsite was fun and more gentle than the river section further upstream. We were able to take our two small kids on our laps. River is a tad low so sometimes our bums would bump a rock but it was still a lot of fun. We also enjoyed driving 10 minutes to Pineview lake where the kids built sand castles on the beach and played. Water was available although the notice online said the well water had dried up. We appreciated the soap at the water spigots so we could wash our hands.

No water for the second year in a row! The Camp host could not keep the facilities as clean as they should have been, no fault of the camp host though! Quit putting money into Anderson Cove and start rebuilding the other campgrounds East of Pine view Reservoir!! Do a couple of them at a time in each camp and at least make it look like you're doing something! Thank you!!!

The site was well taken care of and had a decent amount of shade. It was also far enough from the other sites that we didnt really ever see anyone else. Would definitely stay here again.

When we arrived, we were informed that there was NO WATER available at the campground due to "The well running dry". It is unacceptable that we were not informed prior to our arrival.

The campsites #22 & 23 have been switched on the website. We reserved #23, which used to be #22 on the website. When we arrived at the campsite, #22 was where it has always been and we had to be out in the sun in 23. Please fix the website to show the actual location of #22 being on the left hand side of the two. Thanks.

Very peaceful and quiet. Make sure to bring lots of bug spray. If you like the water, go check out Causy, it is a fun place.

While the campsite we reserved was good, the area for the tent was right next to the neighboring campsite. The vault toilets weren't kept that clean the entire time we were there. There was no sign of a camp host, which I think if there had been, they would have enforced the quite time. The place was loud from other campers running generators, partying, laughing, and listening to loud music past midnight every night we were there. It was pretty obvious there was a large group that reserved multiple spots next to and across from each other as they kept walking back and forth partying. Again, no sign of the camp host the entire time we were there. The gate locking at 10pm we can't confirm, we made sure we were in the campground before then since we didn't want to chance it. Our campsite was a ways from the entrance, but you could hear the cars driving down the road. The traffic seemed to be pretty constant all through the night as well.

Easily fit 4 two-person tents. This campground wasnt close to others. We had 6 people and 2 dogs and fit very comfortably. Causey reservoir is very close! Will definitely be back
