Do not recommend this campground at all. Our site was far too close to the bathrooms and the smell was horrible - our site shouldn’t have even been a site due to the proximity to the bathrooms. My husband and I were kept awake until 2:30am from the partying going on a few sites over. Loud music, yelling, you name it. Upon our arrival we asked the camp host if we could move anywhere else because there were open sites and he did not help at all, but did admit “the bathrooms can smell bad sometimes.” The sheriff drove around the campground prior to sunset but we understand why now (gates lock at 10pm or else I’m sure he would’ve done it later, too). If you want a quiet, family friendly campground this is NOT the place to stay. Guests were also unruly and had no common courtesy. At one point we thought someone was trying to break the door to the mens bathroom. We also couldn’t even sit at the picnic table due to the smell of the bathrooms. Host did not do anything to upkeep the campground. Horrible experience. We moved to Anderson Cove the next day where those hosts were wonderful and very concerned about our stay at South Fork.
