The restrooms near our campsite were closed down all weekend, so we had to drive down to other end to be able to shower or use restroom. Besides that it was an ok stay and fish were biting.

Everything went as planed. The Park was clean; we had not problems. Will visit again.

The nearest bathrooms were out of order and the grass around the site looked like hasnt been mowed in weeks. Holiday weekend especially everything should be in tip top shape.

Park was in good shape from clean to grass cut! great water pressure and level pad!

We love camping at Buch Horn Creek. It's peaceful and pet friendly. We have never had a bad time.

WE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND. WAS SO GLAD THE AREA HAD BEEN SEMI-MOWED. HOWEVER, THE FIREPIT WAS FULL OF PARTIALLY BURNED CANS, WOOD AND PAPER. WE'VE CAMPED AT BUCKHORN FOR 30+ YEARS AND WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. HOW A BOUT A 2ND DUMP STATION! LOL

The park location was good. Had a good view of the Lake and access to it from our site. But I had to weedeat around the water hookup and a walk way for the kids to walk to our/their friends sites. Also only one bathroom station worked with was quit a ways away from our site, and this was Memorial weekend. Also the kids playground had a slide and swingthats it. All in all a good time there with friends.

It was ok, but the bathrooms air conditioning NEEDS to be fixed. Can't take a shower and sweat soooo fast because it is so hot in there. Also, just to use the bathroom toilet, it is too hot. All that heat makes it smell BAD.

The least maintained USACE campground I've camped. Sites overgrow with grass and weeds. Ant hills EVERYWHERE. Bathrooms could use a cleaning as well. I doubt I'll be back as there are better maintained places on Lake O the Pines.

Beautiful lake views! Some spots are a little tricky to get into, but we make it work.

Grass was tall and not mowed in quite a while. The boat dock was moved off the landing. This was very unsafe. There are no lines for boat trailer parking. People park all different directions.

Buckhorn use to be a beautiful park! Now its not! Grass is not mowed and the weeds/grass was horrible!! The site was not clean and the fire pit was filled with cigarette butts! Whats happened?? We have stayed there several times, but if not cleaned up we will go elsewhere!
@DeannaD6937901 · Camped on Apr 30, 2025 at Campsite #E126
The campsite was great except the grass was very very tall.
@KathyM4352816 · Camped on Apr 25, 2025 at Campsite #T207
Obviously they don't want tent campers in this park. Substandard maintenance for tent campers.
@JamesK1667053 · Camped on Apr 22, 2025 at Campsite #E137
Grounds were in bad shape. Grass was ankle to knee high. Grounds were not well kept. No range enforcement of rules and regulations. More than two vehicles in a campground cars parked on grass boats on grass trailers on grass, etc. very pathetic enforcement of the core of engineers, rules and laws.

Quiet, easy access, well laid out, lots of room. Very helpful Ranger, lots of water access, overall very satisfied with stay!

Not as well maintained as some of the other COE camprgounds. The sites are fairly level. This site does not offer the privacy most others do.

Great location, full hookups, quiet, easy access to main lake, beautiful views. Friendly and helpful staff, easy in and out, overall fantastic!

This is one of our most favorite parks and campsites that we stay in once a year. We love the double site with the huge wood deck overlooking the lake. It's gorgeous and we will continue to stay here for many more camping trips!

Very nice campground

The campground is extra clean, bathrooms clean and lots of hot water! The camp host,Gil, is great! He's helpful and funny and a joy to visit with. That can make or break a camping experience! Buckhorn is within 45 miles of my home so it's close and convenient for me. I also have the lifetime senior pass so it's very affordable! I'm blessed to be able to enjoy this Campground and I know whoever visits there will have a wonderful experiance!
@GlennC5420826 · Camped on Mar 6, 2025 at Campsite #E115
Site E115 is an average campsite. All site utilities were functional, but water ponds at the back end of the parking pad and there are some holes that present a tripping hazard next to electrical hook up. Not many amenities such as fuel, food, firewood, hardware or ice near the park's entrance. However, I would not discourage camping at this site and would consider staying at the campground again.
@LaurenT4CE5E36 · Camped on Feb 27, 2025 at Campsite #E139
Nice park! It would be great if there were more full hook-up sites.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
