I asked well in advanced if 40 rv would fit in the campground but it didnt. The ranger who checked me in told me at the gate, I think your rv is too big but the well good luck. I told him I was told there would be no problem but he ignored me and didnt even help with directions to the site. I damaged my rv because the path was too small.

Fantastic camp grounds. Friends informative staff. The lake is great. Friendly families. Clean. Lots of bathrooms. There are NO showers! But all is great.

Campground is dismal for its price. No water fill station is sad for $40/night.

Bathrooms are not maintained. There was a random car parked in our campsite the entire time. They do not monitor crowds. Our campsite was next to a family with 4 tents and about 10- 12 people! Loop D is a party town in the evenings, with zero ranger involvement to keep people quiet. The campground was SOOOOO loud way past midnight. Definitely not a peaceful nature experience =( sadly this place has gone downhill .

Wonder place to camp. It can get very busy during the weekends especially and noisy at night. Lots of hiking, fishing and swimming. No jet skis or water skiing allowed on the lake. Bathrooms are ok but old and in need of remodeling or replacement. Reservation are difficult to get these days. Look for cancellations on reservation.gov

Our overall experience was decent,. We were there for seven days, and they only picked up the trash once while the trash was overflowing in the dumpster most of the time. I saw the Dodge Ridge cleanup, crew pull trash out of the dumpster and haul it off in their trucks to make more room two or three times. Wouldnt it make more sense to have the dumpsters emptied more often? I also have a problem with the price. $36 a night is expensive for not having electricity, water or sewer hook ups. I am Tuolumne County resident and it has become increasingly difficult to get reservations online. We have two other families that we go with every year and it has been very difficult to coordinate that. In the past, we have been able to get campsites in close proximity so that we can enjoy each others company. Within the past few years, we are spread out all over the place. It would be nice if you offered County residents a different way to reserve campsites I feel like profit is the goal these days instead of people.

Love this place (for 35 years now) and it's sad to see that many campers no longer leave a clean campsite.

Pinecrest is a very family friendly lake with swimming, fishing, and bike riding. They have an outdoor movie theater for evening entertainment. The area is beautiful and it a great mountain experience. The only down side is the availability of public parking and is very busy in the summer weekend months.

Been going to PINECREST FOR YEARS.I wish Pinecrest would would tear down the bathrooms where all the Campsites are & build new ones like the ones closer to the Lake. The NEWER Bathrooms honestly need SOAP DISPENSERS in them for Hygienic Reasons. I believe it can be a violation of the Health code not having Simple Soap Dispensers. I am in the Healthcare Profession.Without soap thats how germs/bacteria are transmitted.Do we even know how much bacteria/germs people have when they dont wash their hands with SOAP?If I were to conduct an experimental examination from peoples hands without using soap, you would be astonished.There are so many diseases & COVID still going around. We all know this. I HOPE you all take this into Serious consideration. Thank You

Pinecrest has always been a popular site. Pinecrest is very kid-friendly and there are many things for adults to do as well. There are some issues I would like to address. In the last few years, I've notice an abundance of people at the beach on Saturdays. My extended family camp there every July and some choose not to go to the beach on Saturdays because lots of times there is no place right at the beach to sit. Last year there were people parked in sites on Saturday that were not even registered. Another issue are the dogs right at the beach area. I noticed it even more this year. I thought they enforced that.

Been camping here every year for 40 years.. everytime its beautiful! Great, clean campground with a clean beautiful lake. Cell service is bad (which is great for me but not for my teenagers lol)! The pinecrest store is great too, stocked with everything you might have forgotten. Pinecrest is truly my favorite place

Over the 4th of July the beaches were grossly over-crowded, parking was a nightmare for those who were coming for day use only. Rules are not followed (eg., no dogs on the beaches). Trying to get to the water to swim, past the Easy-ups and cabanas was difficult. I have camped at Pinecrest every year for over 25 years. Every year it gets a little more tarnished than last year due to it being overrun. There is no regulation because "they" can't figure out how to do this when the federal, state, and county lands are involved. With the decrease in staffing, there is no monitoring or enforcement. The Forest Service sets records every single year over the 4th with ever-increasing amounts of garbage. We are talking TONS (yes, in lbs) of garbage. Until there is some sort of regulation, Pinecrest will continue to deteriorate which is very sad. It is such a beautiful and gorgeous place.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
