Nice campground, very close to the lake. There's an outdoor theater with seating than can be a fun experience with the family. One downside to this campground now, they've removed the portable shower facility that was once parked near the general store.

The Pinecrest Campground was excellent! Lots of shade, clean restrooms and sites.

After arriving at the site we picked ( due to there not being much close to our friends) site B22 is worthless. It’s on an incline and there was no table or fire ring there ( our first) we were able to secure site B25. Good site, bathrooms close, they were cleaned every morning. Also do not waste your time walking in to the resort area and going to the restaurant ( if you don’t feel like camp cooking) the staff was rude, not accommodating, We left and decided to cook in camp. All in all though the area was great, store was convenient, the little coffee kiosk is great, hiking around the lake was not hard, beautiful and took about 3-4 hours. Lots of activities there. I recommend it, jjst stay away from site B22!!

First time visiting Pinecrest Lake campground. Had a good experience although the campgrounds are very close together and it can get a bit loud. Bathrooms were clean, but some men's rooms only had one stall and one urinal, at times not quite enough to accommodate the large number of people in the campground. The lake just down the road gets VERY crowded so you must get there early if you want a parking space or even some space near the water. If you are lucky enough to get a campground close to the lake, it is not too bad of a walk unless you are carrying a lot of stuff. The lake itself is great, large and plenty of room for all sorts of water activities. We are paddle boarders and were able to explore a large portion of the lake without too many issues. There were of course some boaters that disregarded the rules on speed and such, but you find that everywhere, especially where boat rentals are available to the average person who may not know or understand boating guidelines. Overall, it was a really good experience and will definitely go back to the lake soon but may look for different camping options. PS. The store had issues with their electronic payment option the three days we were there so they were only accepting cash. Be prepared and bring cash with you just in case as we were told it is not uncommon. I cannot confirm how often they have issues and it got resolved each day, but for us it was 3 days in a row.
