My wife and 2 kids and I came up to lupine for Labor day weekend. The campsite in very nice as its right across the road from Bass Lake. Everyone was very cool and the Hosts Mary & Tony were super nice and our kids enjoyed seeing all the bear pictures from the campsite. WE has campsite #93.The campsite was up on a hill and pretty secluded which was nice. The campsite is also not real level so one really big tent or maybe 2 large/medium tents could fit. The only issues we had with it is the pictures of the site are not very accurate or detailed. What is not shown in the pictures is a steep hill that leads directly into the campsite. The hill is somewhat slippery as its just powdered dirt, rocks, and pine cones. The hill made loading and unloading our equipment quite abit harder. Also the parking for site #93 is not really near the campsite itself. Its a decent walk from the parking lot to the site. Despite this we had a good time and enjoyed the weekend. WE would have maybe given it 5 stars if there was showers on the property, but sadly there were not.

There are active bears in the camp so it's very important to keep your camp clean and please lock the trash containers after you throw trash away. We heard bears in the trash containers late at night very close (75 feet) to our camp - we keep a very clean camp so that was some peace of mind. Mid-week it was really quiet. Then came the weekend and on both sides of us were large groups. One rolled in at 7pm and set up camp and the other at 9pm and stayed up partying until 2am and did not clean up their camp. The location is lovely. The people on the weekends that are rude and obnoxious not so much. We were there on a very hot weekend. Did not cool down until 8pm and it was buggy. The lake was beautiful and we had a beach all to ourselves one day. The kids loved it so we will likely be back, but we will stay away from peak season when all the irritating people come out. Camp hosts were nice and the camp was clean when without people. Flush toilets, but no showers which didn't help with the hot sticky days. No bear boxes so you have to put everything in your car. Surprised bears have not figured out there is food in cars yet, but the ones that were very close to our car did not.

Great campsite and wonderful host. Didnt see any bears. Had geese and quail come through our campsite the second night. Bathrooms are very clean as well. The only complaint I have is how noisy the lake is

It was a very nice stay, we had a nicely shaded site and the host was very kind and apologetic when we had issues with our neighboring site. We encountered several bears, one in the surrounding campgrounds, and one visited our neighbors site at night! Be sure to put away all food into a locked car to prevent the same from happening. The lake is very nice to swim in.

Love Lupine campground and Bass lake. Weve been coming here for many years with family and its always so fun. However, the past 2 summers, the camp host has been HORRIBLE and has really tainted our normally positive experience. She screamed at us about having a tire slightly off the pad, about our dog that had just escaped off the leash etc. I understand enforcing the rules and she was right to say something, but she does not have the right to be verbally abusive. This was a repeated thing. We had 3 campsites with our family and each was yelled/ screamed at for various things. After responding to her requests, I told her that she could have just asked us and that she had no right to treat people this way. She said I can yell at you if you dont follow the rules. She thinks its is perfectly acceptable to act this way. We called the sheriff and gave reports of the verbal abuse so the camp hosts (both of them) were asked to NOT interact with us for the remainder of our stay. That made it better, but my sister in law was still fearful to leave her trailer after the way she was treated. She didnt feel safe at all and was scared to be screamed at again. Ive never had a camp host act like this before and am shocked that she is still in charge of this campground since she has to be doing this to others.

Office staff cannot work the online system which costs the renters more money. Instead of modifying my reservation they cancelled it and it costs me $53 and I lost a day so another $60. A lot of back and forth between the office staff and campground host, who was amazing, his name was Andy and he was the only reason I didnt give this place a one star. I think if the office staff knew what they were doing and didnt have a we hate tourists attitude, I mightve enjoyed my stay here. But this trip was a disaster before we could even check in. Wont be back

Tony was an excellent host. Very courteous and resourceful. Ready to help and accommodate any requests for assistance. He dealt very well with some noisy campers. He maintains a very clean facility and the cleanest toilets I have visited in a camp. The campsite is spacious, very accessible, clean, well maintained and well equipped. It is very close to the lake and other attractions. Excellent base for day trips to Yosemite. I hope to come back. Thanks, Tony!Jorge

Our rangers were fantastic, especially Mary. Bathrooms kept clean. Love Bass Lake. My main complaint Is noise level. People were BLASTING their music all day. One group arrives on our last night and played their music and talked loudly until THREE in the morning. Please can something be done about the noise!

The landscape of the campsite was beautiful and the sites were spaced out wonderfully. Be aware of the bears, do not leave food out unattended. The campsite does not have bear boxes so you need to keep your food in your car. The lake during 4th of July week was very busy and loud. Our campsite was 111 and near the road. There were times where the road was loud at night. Showers are located outside of campsite, up the road in the resort. The showers require coins that are $5 for $5 minutes bought at the campstore.

The area was beautiful, we walk to the lake. Weather was nice. However there was a bear that broke our neighbors truck window and started digging through the trash by our site, so we had to leave a day early. We have young ones and didn't want to risk it.

There is shade where you would put your two tents but bring a canopy to put over the table that is in direct sun. Very close to bathrooms, water, and lake is down the hill. Beware for bears, no bear boxes so you have to put everything in your car. There is no showers, but there is Miller landing resort that has public bathrooms, $5 shower tokens for 5 minutes. We went in late June which was perfect temperature, warm water, and an abundance of wild flowers. Check out Angel falls, just a 15 minute drive, very worth it.

First: the camp hosts, Tony and Mary, were wonderful! Thank you !The only drawback to our lovely spot was the boat noise that started early and didn't let up until late evening. Our campsite was great.

We loved our campsite! It was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The camp host (Tony) was very kind, and helpful with information. The rest of the campground was clean as well. Tony is easy to communicate with, and he gave us great information about the campground and Bass Lake. We certainly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely stay there again!

wish there was more flat space on the campgrounds, but otherwise a lovely campground.

Camp hosts were super nice and helpful. The campsite Site was pretty big, but very close to other camp sites. So, if you go on a busy weekend, forget about privacy! The lake is right across the road from the campsite, literally a minute walk. But, to walk down to the lake, you'd have to go down somedecent size rocks/boulders, so be careful!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
