I camped this spot along for 2 days. It was perfect.

The entire campground was beautiful. I stayed in sites 84 and 85. They were clean, quite, and nicely wooded. The camp host was also very nice and helpful.

I lov the camp ground still and will stay there again, although the reason for the 4 stars is because the bathrooms werent as clean as I remember them this time I understand that vault toilets are still better than porta pottys , but they were neglected this time.

Beautiful campground for my two boys and me. Great camp host - Matt. Responsive, friendly, hard working. Regarding the dirt road, don't be dissuaded if you're just a dude with a normal car - my minivan got through just fine, taking it slow. We don't all need ginormous trucks lol. Noise level from other campers was generally fine. In one moment when some campers starting blasting music very loudly with a million f-bombs - don't be those people, folks, there are kids everywhere! - the camp host went over, and they turned it down. Will definitely be back! Thanks again to the camp host and thanks to the universe for this wonderful camping spot.

Even though the campground was full, the bathrooms remained pretty clean (for vaulted toilets) and they always had toilet paper. The camp host was very reasonable and patient with his requests. We had a large party with several campsites and while I would give a poor rating to some of the members of my camping party (they were loud late at night and some didn't want to be bothered with rules), I feel the camp host was very accommodating and always gave me time to wrangle in our group. I learned I am too old to ever tent camp again, but I would love to come back in an RV (in a smaller group) to really enjoy the beautiful camp grounds!

Although the camp site was decent, the area is not well maintained. The host did not ever tell loud groups to be quiet, especially when they yell across the camp ground to each other at all hours. Keep in mind there are close to 100 camp sites here and these groups were yelling from one end to the other.( like 200 yards) also if you camp near the trail head some people think its appropriate to come off trail through your camp instead of walking the final 100 yards. The worst part of the stay was that the restrooms had fly traps filed with flies, never cleaned, and doors that wouldnt lock. People were also leaving their trash in the restrooms because they didnt want to take it to the only dumpster at the entrance. It was so bad, people were gagging from the smell. We stayed in camp 48 and would get whiffs of the bathrooms in the air. If you go, take your own privacy tent and port-a-potty!

Site 78: Generous flat (mostly level) area for a couple of tents. A decent shaded area, with about a third of the area shaded at any given time, but that was better for us since we wanted a clear sky for our Starlink. Zero bars with Verizon, but full WiFi with Starlink. Bathrooms were on the cleaner side. The host was friendly and sold us some firewood ($10/bundle) since we didnt bring enough.

Beautiful, quiet and remote-feeling campground. Well-maintained by the camp host - both the campground and the very clean bathrooms. Gorgeous sunsets to be had and views from all areas. We would happily visit again.

Camped at site 67 & it was absolutely beautiful. Birds, squirrels & even heard an owl. This campground was extremely clean & the camp host was very friendly, informative & us updates on the surrounding wildlife. Pit toilets were pretty clean, however I wish people would read the signs to keep the lids closed. No cell signal, but didnt need it with all the nature surrounding us. The dirt road up wasnt too bad but if there a storm possible flooding & that is the time a high clearance & 4WD would be necessary. This will be a regular campground for us.

Very nice campground. There is a nice hiking trail leading from the campground. It is a short drive down to the lake.

Space 39 was perfect with morning and later afternoon shade for those hot days! Toilets were clean and stocked. Wonderful weekend, without WiFi, phones or the world! Watch out for the jays in the mornings, they chatter!
@LisaR8773346 · Camped on Aug 10, 2025 at Campsite #41
We loved this campground. The bathrooms were clean and the trail was nice to hike. Unfortunately the quiet hours were not enforced. Even though the campground was nearly empty (we stayed during the week), someone had to ruin it. The second night a group was up until at least 1:30 am screaming chug chug chug - not what I brought my kids to experience. Just disappointing. Without the noise I would have given it 5 stars.

I loved how peaceful it was - the air was so fresh, and the hiking was fantastic

This place was beautifully!The weather was perfect!The only but I had is that they wouldnt allow music. Im an understandable person and obviously didnt plan to have super loud music. But the little we had they told us to lower it down even more. Other than that it was a great place!

There was a group of super rowdy people that were up past 2am yelling on our first night, Friday, and the same people up till 1am the next night. It would be nice to have a camp host that would remind campers of the quiet hours. Not sure why that isnt a thing. Overall it was a nice camp site at #57, there is a little walk from the car parking spot which was nice to have a little space between us and the next sites but again we had really rude people around us. A guy smoking something, setting up video games outside of their tents, just not the type of people that understand camping etiquette. The facilities were fine and the campsite was in good condition. The road leading up to the camp (2-3miles) is dirt and really bumpy so you need a truck or something high off the ground. We enjoyed our camping weekend but it would be nice if this camp could give each site a handout with quiet times and just greet them I think that could prevent some of the people being so rude with their partying.

Awesome campsites. Attentive host. Clean amenities. Everything you want in a campsite! The dirt road isnt bad. Somewhat bumpy. Close to town. Close to the lake. Everything you need without the city feel.

Very clean and fun! Host was helpful and willing to answer questions!

The road to the campground from Fawnskin was quite passable with a 2WD van- just a couple washboard spots. Water from slickers no problem. Midweek I almost had the loop to myself! Beautiful scenery hiking the trail out of camp, helpful hosts, it can get hot midday so plan accordingly. Very spotty (mostly none) Verizon coverage unless you hike or drive to high points out of camp.Site #62 has plenty of tent space and shade under a magnificent oak tree!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
