JackRabbit is a wonderful place to camp and has great hiking trails so close by. It was our first time camping there, after living in the area part-time for 13+ years. The camp hosts were very nice as well.

The campground was well cared for, clean, bathhouses clean, showers warm/not too hot. The view of the lake beautiful. Campers were quiet and friendly. The host was discrete in checking on things. The swim area had showers inside and out and was welcoming to very small children in shallow areas up to deep water swimming. There were signs of civilization, few stores, no restaurants or sources of packaged food. Bring it all. This place is for active happy people who dont sit around. Bikers, hikers, kayakers, walkers, and swimmers. No commercialized golf carts or much of anything motorized.

There was an Oder of decaying meat that occurred occasionally in my camp site.

There is no place like Jackrabbit. I have been going there since I was a kid, took my kids and now my grandkids. Have never had a bad experience in over 40 years.

We had a tree fall on our truck while we were there. The camp hosts, wildlife people were great. It did take a very long time for Clay county sheriffs office to send a deputy but it wasnt an emergency. Campground and bathrooms are clean. The bathroom doors slam shut and that could be dangerous for fingers and doors slamming are very loud at night!

The camp host was not a very nice person. No patience whatsoever.

It is more rustic than I like, but it's good.

We camped at C89 and C90, these sites are fantastic, they are lower down and feel private as they are surrounded by trees. Conveniently they also had a small path between them so it's fantastic when camping together with friends and family.

The campsite spots were spacious and shaded and very comfortable. The bathrooms are basic but clean and functional. And we really enjoyed being able to walk down the hill and jump into the lake. Also having bike trails right there made for a fun-filled vacation without having to drive anywhere.

Stop the sites from being rented r only weekends or a Fri. & Sat., the good sites need to e for 4 or more days.

Love this campground as its an hour and a half drive and on a lake. Most campsites are well maintained and have lots of trees, keeping the sun from bearing down. Bathrooms are decent. Wish that people had more respect of their fellow campers. Had to walk down two campsites and ask some people to lower their voices at 2 AM! Another ran their generator all night. Another let their dog bark for hours. And there are boats playing loud music late into the night or bass boats roaring into the cove at 5-6 AM. That cove should be closed to motor boat traffic.Its best to camp during the week as boat traffic is less and people are less obnoxious.

We were able to get a lake front spot A5. It was very nice and shady. Our camp spot was pretty big too. We did have to walk down a little trail to get to the lake. We had a great week camping. Bell Mountain and Brasstown Bald are both a must see.

Great campground but the host does little. I messed up my schedule and thought I had an additional night. The host never came by to tell me my reservation was up. The next camper arrived at 6 pm and said I was on his site. Should not have happened.

Campground was beautiful. Bathrooms were clean. We stayed in spot 23 which was the perfect spot with kids who wanted to swim all day. Campsite is on the water with a mini beach. The only thing I wished our site had were some stairs from the car to the tent/picnic area. We have T-Mobile and service was good.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds. My family and I camp here every year. We always get a different campsite and it is always a good campsite. My favorite thing to do is ride my mountain bike on the trails.
@BradS9486590 · Camped on May 30, 2025 at Campsite #42
This camp site as of 5/25 needs improvement. Tent pad is old and slanted, picnic table is concrete , not level and was in a mud puddle. Needs a revamp like the campsite next to this one.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
