Excellent campground! We tent-camped in site 70, which bordered the lake so it was great views from the campsite and easy to access for walks along the beach. Bathrooms were clean and in good condition and also a short walk from the campsite (but FYI there is no soap). The proximity to Hiawassee was also nice since we still had access to town amenities while having the opportunity to be secluded in nature. Also, for awareness to future visitors: there is no firewood for sale at the campground. We had to buy some at some at the Ingles grocery store in town.

Very awesome, my camp had access to the lake. We got our kayaks and paddled most of the time. Had shade and used insect repellent candles
Had access to shower and bathrooms and they were clean.
At times you can hear the next camp but trees and elevation were perfect cover.
Were able to park a car and truck in designated Parking provided with camp. Had a extra car and there was additional parking place not too far from the site. Hosts are sweet and very knowledgeable.
Caution no fire wood at the campground. There is a gas station 3-5 miles away from the campground that had wood.
We enjoyed the stay and decompressed

Jackrabbit Campground is exceptional. Bathrooms are cleaned very thoroughly M,W & F. Host and Hostess are very friendly and present. The lake is quiet near the campground and great for paddling. Also hiking trails are accessible right from the campground or a 1 mile drive to the mountain bike / hiking trails.
Our only request would be for A loop to remain open through the end of the season. If a loop needs to be shut down, C loop would be one one to close.

Very friendly and helpful host and staff. The campsites ,as were the bath houses, well maintained and cared for. We are definitely coming back!
