Campground has stunning sites directly on the river as well as spacious sites among the giant old growth Douglas Firs. Clean and quiet, with pit toilets and you-pump water. Perfect location for day trip to Artist Point hiking. Several First Come First Serve sites.

Gorgeous campground right on the river with plenty of beautiful shaded trees, close water hookups and bathrooms, and a friendly camp host. Super quiet and peaceful. Would recommend!

It was lovely to be right on the river and the campground was very clean and well maintained. Sites were quite private and the sound of the river was magical!

A really nice spot with options (like the site I had) that are right off the river. So it's awesome to hear that running in the background, especially at night. A little close to the main road so you may hear the occasional vehicle but nothing too bad. Easy to access and although you're close to neighbors, there are a lot of trees and shrubs that help hide direct view of each other. A little on pricey side for one night but maybe that's just me.

Unfortunately, some campers have fed the rabbits, making them too tame for their own good

This is one of my favourite places to camp . I only wished the trail close to the river had been cleared

We stayed here in early June during a small heat spike and it was very nice! Right by the river (BEAUTIFUL, and great white noise for sleeping) and close to a general store. Pit style bathrooms weren't bad, and the campground was in very good shape. This was our first time here and trying car camping so my only wish that we could have had was a bear locker. But we managed to fit everything in the car alongside ourselves so it worked out! We will be back again for sure!

Ron is the ultimate host! He has excellent customer service skills, and he takes such pride in his campground.

Our group has 23, 24 & 25 but swapped 24 for 27 because the 24 driveway couldn't accommodate 2 vehicles. Both 23 & 25 have wonderful riverfront tent sites. But I noticed that 19 had a really nice tent site but room for only 1 vehicle. Most everyone at this campground go hiking during the day which means at night it gets quiet early. Campground host is very diligent in checking on each campsite many times during the day ... no shenanigans happen here

Doug for campground was quiet and peaceful! The bathrooms are very well tended to, and the campsite was clean. We were in camp 29, but close enough to the river to hear it roar.

Ron and his side kick Ella are exemplary hosts!

Camp was beautiful and well maintained. The River was a perfect soundtrack for camp. Site #20 was perfect for our campervan. The toilet facilities were the cleanest I have ever experienced. The camp host Ron was great! He was always available and made sure the facilities were kept clean. 5 stars!

Really nice primitive campground, with odor-free pit toilets that have hand sanitizer available (and cute signs on the walls!). The one nearest our site even had a motion-sensing night light. We saw a pump-operated water spigot in the site 2-18 area and a solar-powered water spigot in the site 19+ area but we didn't test them. Do pay attention to RV length limits because we noticed several shallow sites as we walked around.

Ron, the campground manager was friendly and helpful! He kept the restrooms clean and odor free- an amazing feat for outhouses! We loved the campground and the area and will be back next season.

I love this campground. It does not have a lot of amenities but it the campsites are beautiful and peaceful, and its close to the gorgeous hiking trails at Mt. Baker. The host does such a good job of keeping the place clean and tidy. Best pit toilets in the state!

I stayed at Site #22 on August 8 - ThursdayVery open and beautiful, next to the river. The sound of the river is very soothing and relaxing.It rained with lightning and thunderstorm that evening. Very nice hearing rain on the tent.The view of Nooksack River North Fork from the site is amazing non obstructed.The bathrooms were very clean, the host put hand sanitizer, a Home Depot bucket for trash and decorations.The host really care about camper's experience! Thank You!There's burn ban in the summer, but they allowed propane fire pits.Make sure you know the length of your trailers, the pull through we're spacious. The campground is very nice compared to some state and forest campgrounds that I've been to.There we're a few empty sites with a reserved sign so I wonder if the host just put those up for looks to keep people out or people just don't show up.Overall this campground is very nice and would definitely come back here if I need a place to stay for a few nights.There is NO Cellphone Service, which is nice!

What I loved most about this campground was the host and his attention to details. From the extra solar lights by the river for safety to the extremely clean vault toilets. The host keeps high standards at this location. I was very impressed and would stay here over the closer Silver Fir because of the quality, cleanliness and friendliness. On this trip, I stayed at both locations and enjoyed my stay at Douglas Fir very much! Beautiful place to visit. Thanks for making it memorable!!!

The place is one of our favourite camping sites. This time we stayed in 15 and it was very quite and spacious. Only one thing I had problem is that water pump is too far.

We had a wonderful experience at Douglas Fir CG. The camp host , Ron, gets 6 stars out of 5. He was able to accommodate our need to change campsites, had the cleanest , well equipped vault toilets Ive ever seen, and also, his great sense of humor added to our experience. We loved our four nights there!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
