Ron, the campground manager was friendly and helpful! He kept the restrooms clean and odor free- an amazing feat for outhouses! We loved the campground and the area and will be back next season.

We had a wonderful experience at Douglas Fir CG. The camp host , Ron, gets 6 stars out of 5. He was able to accommodate our need to change campsites, had the cleanest , well equipped vault toilets Ive ever seen, and also, his great sense of humor added to our experience. We loved our four nights there!

The campsite is stunning. The hiking trail on the other side of the highway is worth every step you take. Absolutely beautiful. Moss covered trees, mushrooms, and berries everywhere. The red huckleberry are delicious. Such a lush landscape surrounding you everywhere. You can see houses across the river, which was a surprise to see civilization when the area feels so remote. If traveling in an RV or trailer, be warned; while the website may say a site can accommodate your rig, the ability to level your rig is a whole different story. Camp host Ron was able to move us to a site for our 6 day stay that would work for our 30' RV. He was great. I highly recommend this campground!

The site was great. The camp host checked on us periodically took ensure everything was ok. Restrooms were the cleanest Ive ever seen in a state campground. Overall an 11 out of 10!!!

The campground was clean and well-tended. My site was well-marked, The restroom was very clean and well-stocked.
Love the Campground but I notice multiple reserveable sites were open when I got there even though Recreation.gov does not show them. How does the camp host know sites are open but Recreastion.gov doesn't as I would think he gets the information from you if a reservation is cancelled? I had to book to different nights to support my trip and when I got there my first spot was available the next day and the camp host was gracious enough to swap my second day site so I could stay in the same site. Also unlike reserveamerica.com, which I can be notified when booked camping sites become available for the days I want, recreatio.gov does not provide that service! I hear there are 3rd party service you can pay to monitor availability and notify you but that is crazy to have to do that when it should be simple for you to implement and hugely valuable service to your customers as well as generates more revenues for you keeping site booked!

Great place. Have been going for years…Wish they would bring in potable water
Beautiful campsites along the river. Restrooms clean and odor free. Two miles into town for lattes and breakfast sandwiches at Wake and Bakerly. Would be nice if there were showers and power available, but it was a great experience.

Mobile Data Speed Map

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
