Water spigot was not by the electrical which was inconvenient and the spigot itself leaked from every connection. The pad was nice and level but too narrow so when you put your RV steps down its a drop off and a fall risk. Only some sites have covered storage outside which would have been nice to know. No running water in the bathrooms and they were gross. No camp host while we were there or cell signal so dont have an emergency. Wont ever be camping there again. On the positive- we did enjoy the hiking so better for a day use option.

Site 11 is a nice site, but be aware that the electrical box is a mess! The 30 Amp receptacle is wired to the 20 Amp circuit breaker! The 20 Amp receptacle is wired to the 30 Amp breaker! Given previous reviews, the electrical At this site has been problematic for years. Hopefully the NFS can get a competent electrician to fix it soon. Other than that, nice site, vault toilets were clean, it was very quiet, and somewhat buggy. Also, we had zero AT&T service at this site. We will be back but will reserve a different site there.

We boondocked our RV on site 22. It is right at the trailheads for Turkey Creek and Silver Mines Dam. I wish we could have spent more than one night.

When I arrived there was someone in my spot. They looked like they had been there a long time and werent moving anytime soon. I tried calling the phone number on the reservation several times and no response. I left without camping. I would like a credit so I can use it another time. Connie Neumann

We camped in the middle of October. I should have done more research before choosing to camp here. The spot was beautiful and very close to the river. There were only vault toilets. No shower house. No dump station. No internet or cell service. No camp host. No wood available.Again, I take responsibility for my lack of research. We almost always stay in state parks. I hope that this campground was the exception for Recreation.Gov sites. I just think it is useful for other campers to know fully what to expect when booking a site here.

Nice and quire on our trip, the site itself was not as level or user friendly for a 33 ft camper lot 11, did not leave much room to park the truck. Overall nice area no cell service which I did not mind. Will go back just a different lot number.

Nice hiking trails-lots of roots and rocks though so be careful! I got there on a Thurs and it was deserted. A little scary campers started showing up on the weekend:) electric worked but no water hook up available. Bathroom was gross. No shower.

It is so relaxing and peaceful and the other camper spots are not on top of each other! So pretty there! We were on Site 11 and there is quite a drop off from our RV door to the pad that Inwosh could be fixed. The water was very low but thats August for you!

Excellent campground. Very quiet, and excellent proximity to the river as well as a short distance from historic downtown Ironton, MO. The only reason I gave it three stars is because of the cleanliness of the bathroom facilities. Looked like they hadnt been touched in weeks. Bugs and filth, excrement on the floors around the toilets and no toilet paper. I am a truck driver, I have seen some scary roadside facilities and this was up there with some of the worst. Glad I had a shower and toilet in my camper. Besides that the rest of the place was perfect for a quiet family getaway. We will be back!

Camp ground was not busy, we camped on a Monday and Tuesday night. Overall it was a pleasant experience however the bathrooms needed attention, they had not had any chemicals put down them in awhile and the toilet paper was running low, they had not conservation truck drove through several times and never stopped to check on anything. We also wasnt aware that there is no dump station, maybe turn the vacant managers site into a dump station as there is a septic in that spot.

It was very quiet and had lots of trees. The campsites have good tree coverage and shade, which especially helped with hot/sunny days. The abandoned silver mine was a fun, short hike. I would recommend!

It would be really helpful to have paper (or digital/printable) maps of the campsites and trails. The Silver Mines trail was very poorly marked. The main trail and all the trails going off to the campsites and dam are all marked with the same blue diamond with no trail signs.

The forest and river are delightful. There was no water and the bathrooms were awful in terms of cleanliness. But the magnificence of the forest outweighed the bathrooms :). Also the area where the electric hookups were was really nice.

This a small electric only campground with water available to fill your tank. There is no dump station. There was only one other site occupied while we were there, and no campground host. Staffing reductions? Maybe.

No campground host anymore. Grass was cut but the forest service would not replace bathroom light bulbs as they said they did not have a budget for it. I went and got 2 light bulbs and replaced myself.

Great campground and Shawna, the host, was very helpful. Grounds and bathhouses were clean too. Only issue was the trains very close by that sounded off there loud whistles all through the night. It was annoying!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
