It was beautiful! The water was up a little bit still able to enjoy it!

I'm almost hesitant to review the camp ground because I don't want to ruin our secret. This is one of our favorite places. Beautiful grounds on the crystal clear St Francis River, near shut ins and other parks, large sites, friendly camp host and very few other campers create the perfect escape for relaxation. No cell signal may be a draw back for some, it's a positive for us! No water at each site but water at grounds to fill your fresh tank. Only down side is, no dump station. It would really be an improvement to the campground to put in a dump station. That said the pit toilets are well maintained, but they are still pit toilets....

Great campground host! Site 12 was right on the river, beautiful large site. The hiking from the campground was great. 5 state parks less than an hour away. The trip to see the Arch in St Louis is a1.5 hour drive and worth it. St Genevieve NP is 40 minutes away. The only negative was no cell service and ticks

The Silver Mines campground is clean and quiet. I would suggest spending some of the states grant funds on a dump station and possibly a shower house. We had to travel 60+ miles to find a Loves truck stop to empty tanks on our way home.
The staff was helpful and attentive. But we will not stay again unless dump Stations and a shower building is added.
