This is a wonderful, inexpensive campground, right on the beautiful Black River! There is also a great canoe outfitter with a store right at the entrance! They have decent showers with hot water and a nice pavilion that you can rent by the day.

Great campsite on the river, wonderful way to wake in the morning.

At the dump station someone needs to repair the two water supplies. They both leak pretty bad which keep the pressure low plus wasting water. Thanks

Very well maintained campground. Very beautiful and serene. On a nice section of the Black River.

Everything was great except the bath and shower house. I saw the contracted cleaner go in and come right back out. He did not sweep out bugs or clean any toilet, sink or shower. The walls had cobwebs and bugs on them (could have been wiped down) and no scrubbing or cleaning toilets ( no evidence or smell of cleaning supplies). Just walked in and looked around and left.

It was our first time camping at this campground, we usually camp on the other side of the bridge . We are tent campers and the site had a nice level area for our tent. Will definitely camp here again in the future

Great location, river awesome. Bathrooms are very nasty and cleaners do nothing.

It is a beautiful place, and a favorite location but the facility needs some minor attention to the restrooms and showers. A vent would be wonderful as well. We had ants everywhere at our site

Love sitting in the river for a day of relaxation and fun.

Some sites need utilities updated. And the water pressure get really low from time to time. Additionally, there appeared to be a water leak on campsite S2 which went untouched while we were there.

It was a decent place to camp except for the massive amounts of ticks. Even with wearing long clothing we still got numerous ticks. The best part was the clear river to splash in. The currents were a bit strong though. Over all I would recommend the camping there just make sure you have tick protection.

We had a lovely day on Thursday. Friday evening check in started rolling in and it was self contained campers and pop ups in D loop meant for tent camping. They all fired up their generators and ran them all night without regard to quiet time. I understand the limited camp sites now that the east campground is closed but this is unfair to those of us who camp in tents. We arent there to listen to their generators run. We are there for the natural sounds and surroundings. Personally I would like to see these sites restricted to tents only. If that is t possible then an enforcement of quiet time would be appropriate. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.

The campsites were great, with easy access to the water, bathrooms and shower house. I definitely recommend Jeff's Canoe Rentals for a fun float!

Campgrounds are very nice, very roomy campsites that are well kept and not on top of one another, and the services are cleanly. The beach area is easily accesible by any vehicle, large swimming beach area with tons of space to choose from, and fishing areas up and down river from the beach. No Electronic reception at all, not completely a bad thing.

We were there in mid-September and there were only a couple of other campers on the east side of the river. Bathrooms were maintained regularly, and our stay was very comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay and river was great

We loved our site, A14. It was the perfect spot for a tent (we were the only tent by the way! lol). Highway K is always so clean and well maintained. And campers are some of the best people around! We floated and had a great time too! Highway K is where we come all the time. Can't wait for our next trip!!

Always a clean and pleasant trip for family yearly float.

It is a shame that the upper campgrounds are not available to some campers. It is apparently restricted to tent and pop up. The restriction should be by length of camper. My 24 ft. camper easy to manage at these sites. There were very few staying up at these sites but all lower was packed. It is hard enough to get a stay anywhere these days. K west was packed.

Their remodel of the bathrooms on the east side of the river was a disaster. Before, there were about 4 showers & 2 toilets on each side, so double that altogether. Now there are a total of 4 rooms, each containing a toilet & a shower. So while someone's taking a shower, nobody can use the toilet. About 2 of them have benches to put your stuff on, 2 don't. There is no soap in the bathrooms, which I would assume is against the law. The ventilation is terrible, so they're always unbearably hot.

Clean place with good river access. Have been enjoying this spot for 54 years Just wish they had bathroom separate for shower

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
