We had camped here before and knew the restrooms were terrible. This time we were in a different site #23 . There was a bad ground in there box or lose wiring. It burnt our plug that connects from camper to their pedestal. Our camper wasnt the problem . We were told by the camper behind us that while they were there recently one of the pedestals nearby had burnt. Our camper is only a year old and we had camped four days somewhere else before arriving here. The wiring probably never has been checked there since campground was built.

Number one thing is how nice the camp host was. They were very professional and helpful. The bathroom/showers were old but very clean. Park was quiet and well kept. Thank you for a very peaceful trip. Will return soon.

Campground and trails are clean and well maintained. Didn't encounter any staff, but I'm sure they're lovely.

Absolutely loved this campground. Our site was large and fairly private. Connected directly to a trail which made for easy access to trail for dog walking. Will plan to come back when we have more time to enjoy the park.

It was a beautiful place and we enjoyed it very much. The bathrooms do need improvement though. But other than that we had a great time.

Campsites are spacious. Campground is near a pretty sketchy area. First night someone tried to steal our propane, second night we heard gunshots (not hunting- the kind that mean trouble). When we tried to use the dump station, raw sewage came flooding out. The campground host was less than cordial when I went to let him know. The entire experience felt like the first act of a horror movie.

This area is just beautiful and rustic enough to help you relax in nature. Views are stunning.

We usually love this quiet park. Great for hiking. This time there had been a controlled fire burn,trails were closed. Campsite partially burned. Just did not know this was going to be this way before we left. I would definitely still camp there when it grows back!

A wonderful wooded campground, with excellent views of the lake at many sites. Dump station was a little hard to find, but rest assured it is there. Clean campground, and a nice place to walk with some trails.

Love the park and have stayed here many times. My go to camping spot. Always quiet and the sites are spacious and not close to each other. This past weekend is the first time I have used the bath/shower houses as I wasnt in my motorhome and found to be severely lacking. In the mens restroom, the toilet was leaking on the floor and running into the floor drain. The faucet on the sink was not secured to the sink so that when you tried to the water on the faucet turned completely around requiring you to hold the faucet with one hand and turn the water on with your other hand. The temperatures were in the 50s and 40s which is cold by Louisiana standards and the bathroom did not have heat, air conditioning, or hot water. The showers did have hot water but no heating or air conditioning. The facilities had peeling paint, no AC or heat and were very old and in need of repair.

Clean, quiet park. Beautiful lake. Town of Minden is nice - worth the visit. Try Geaux Fresh restaurant- excellent! One issue coming into the park- turn into the road at the Beaver Dam recreation area sign. Then you will see sign for campground at the dump station.

Site is beautiful in November. The drive in is picturesque. Facility was clean. We have hiked and camped here before, which is why we chose this location for our gathering. Very pleased.

Just stayed 1 night, but it is a nice park. Could use some work on the roads and limb trimming.

Was skeptical getting to this park but once there in our spot, the most wonderful stay! Natural beauty all around us, beautiful spot on the water and close to town if needed- the host is so gracious and stoped in to chat with us giving us a lot of history to the area! We give it full 5 stars!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
