We have camped there many times and thoroughly enjoy our stays in your welcoming, quiet park.

The fire rings at beaver dam campground in caney lakes recreation area are a major disappointment, they are too tall and many of them are missing a charcoal grate making cooking almost impossible.I suggest that they be replaced with fire rings that are about 6 to ten inches tall like many state parks use.Because beaver dam camp is my primary campground Im forced to bring my own grill.

The only good thing to say is Spacious Campsites. If the bathrooms were required to be inspected by a Health Authority, the park would be shutdown. In men's restroom, the water has been leaking at the cutoff for over a year and forces the user to get his pants wet while using toilet. This leak was reported over a year ago on my last visit. The showers had so little water flow they were UNusable and only had cold water. Staff could put up a "No Hot Water" sign but never happens. Paint coming off the walls and black stuff growing . Again the restrooms need to be bulldozed down and new ones built.The road inside camp area is barely wide enough for a large camper with tire busting dropoffs on either side of the narrow paving. The staff at this park are not helpful or take the time to speak or visit with the few campers there. I camp in many federal parks and this is the worst maintained federal park I have ever used. Roads, Bathrooms, Showers need major repair OR new construction.The dump station is in the same shape as the rest of this Poorly Maintained Park, used sewage paper everywhere and a total disgrace for areas we as users are paying for.

Quiet location, roads need to be improved.

Nice spacious sites. Tidy park. Only cold water at the Bathhouse and tthe Bathrooms were padlocked. Both need renovations badly.

Had a quiet peaceful relaxing stay. Not a whole lot of people there. Thanks for keeping it up well.

Although our site was okay, the park was in poor condition. The roads in the park were narrow and in need of repair. The bathrooms and showers were in disrepair and in need of serious cleaning in spite of the fact that someone was recording that the cleaning was happening. We never met a host or had anyone one check us in or check on us. This was by far the worst COE we have used and it is not likely that we would ever return.

Disappointed when we got to our campsite cuz we had to remove all the trash in the firepit. It was filthy. Called their number multiple times and no one answered.
@LarryM8356646 · Camped on Sep 4, 2025 at Campsite #12
Hated it. No security. Poor roadway. Given the area, we felt unsafe and will never return. Utilities worked fine. No camp host checked us in. No instructions on what to do if you prepaid online (go to site?, go to host?)
@Katherine87398 · Camped on Aug 16, 2025 at Campsite #13
There is no available camp host and no maps. Roads are not made for a big rig. Water from spicket was swampy. Even with a filter and then through the brita filter. Had to eat out as the water quality wasnt good enough to wash dishes. It's a beautiful view. Picnic table was nice. Roads are in terrible condition.

Very clean, nice campground. A bit remote, but nice to be out in nature! Level campsites, and great views. Lots of hiking.

Always clean and the camp host is great

We only stayed one night while passing through the area. Site 1was level and easy to access.

Camp sites are very spacious and relatively private. It rained quite a bit while we were there and drainage was a minor problem, but nothing serious. There is no sewer hookups on site but there is a dump station at the entrance/exit. Overall, we had an enjoyable time and will return.

Had a great relaxing weekend.
@CathyM5656797 · Camped on Apr 8, 2025 at Campsite #13
The campsites are large & well spaced. Sites & restrooms were clean. The problem is the fire pits have a very tall metal ring & at many sites the grate to raise the logs is broken or missing. That makes it impossible to build a cooking fire close enough to the grill.

We stayed here at a previous trip and really liked it, so we stopped by again. First time was in site 16 and this time in site 15. Both sites are super long and level. Very peaceful campground with nice view of the lake. The host is great and has been there a long time....very friendly. If you want peace and quiet, try this campground out.

We love this place. The lake is lovely, the campsites are clean and well maintained and the hiking trails are terrific. Kudos to the staff on how clean the restrooms and showers were. Theyre not pretty, but they are clean and functional.
@DonnaS6863498 · Camped on Mar 28, 2025 at Campsite #19
Very large level sites. Peaceful stay. One way road around campsites is VERY narrow with significant dropoff in some areas making it challenging to back in to some of the sites.

Fantastic destination close to home! Love spending time with our friends out here!

Very quiet and clean campground. Restrooms were adequate but could use some updating. Would stay again.

Great sites. Very clean. Friendly staff. Only problem was that there were cars driving through campground in the middle of the night 3 am. Stopping at every campsite looking at what you have. Corps campgrounds lock their gates so this doesn't happen. I put my stuff away every night.
@Christoph2E020 · Camped on Feb 7, 2025 at Campsite #23
Maybe offer an option for no water or power for tent campers.

Great sites, not close. Mostly water front. Awesome host.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
