We loved the location and our spot felt quite private despite the full campground. The only complaint I have is that someone stole our camp chairs, table and dog tether while we were exploring for the day. That's never happened to us before.

Sheep Creek campground was well maintained and a great spot to camp to explore Kings Canyon. I would definitely look for a spot here again when going back.

Great site, with clean bathrooms. Wish the quiet hours were more enforced.

Our site was big and spacious. Close to the bathrooms, water, and trash. Momma bear and two cubs roam around but didnt bother us. Close to the river. Saw ranger twice on our visit. Very friendly and helpful. Checked on us and gave us directions on what to do if the bear got into our things. Coming back for next season. Oh yeah, bathrooms were clean.

Fantastic campground! Our site was spacious and we fell asleep to the sound of the river every night. A mama bear and her two cubs walked through one night at dinner time and caused some commotion, which we thought was cool but others might feel differently.

It's very beautiful. Close to many hikes. This place is dog friendly, but no hikes around allow dogs. So if you want your dogs to go exploring this might not be the place for you. Family friendly. Bears do come out if you leave anything out. Be mindful and respectful.

Very pretty, walking distance from visitor center and store/lodge, and from hiking spot. Short drive to more hikes at or near Roads End. Area reminds me of Yosemite, without traffic, crowds or noise. Breathtaking scenery.

We stayed in the park 2 nights and chose this location because its close to the Falls which we wanted to see. The campground is very large with no ranger, so make sure you download the map to bring with you or you will spend a while driving around trying to find your site!

As a long-time camper In Kings Canyon, I was happy to return after a few years off due to the pandemic. The campsites were in excellent condition and all the staffers were friendly and knowledgeable. We were also fortunate enough to get some nice rain that only Mother Nature could plan this late in the year. It really cooled things down! The water temperature was nice, and the rain swelled the river making the fishing a little more challenging. A side note that, as a long-time camper there, I had my own system or strategy to successfully secure a prime campsite in the old first come, first served system, so I was a bit concerned that all sites were now 100% reservation-based, however, that all went without a hitch and we were able secure one of our favorite sites!

I loved everything about it, the only thing I could suggest is more photos of each individual campsite and that I wish the showers were open. Also more dog friendly activities would be nice.

The ranger came by only once on the first day. Quiet hours and party size were not enforced. People kept their fires on and voice up even after 11 PM. The one site next to me had at least 10 people and 5 tents, and they somehow had 3 picnic tables as we saw after they left. Im pretty sure they took the table from us and another site, as we didnt have one when we arrived. The toilets ran out of paper and all trash lockers were full.

Ranger Ela welcomed me so nicely with a check in and helped me figure out water source since the spigot by my site was not working. The restroom was clean. I like the campground but the experience depends on your neighbors. The sites in the middle and those further in the back seems great for flat spots. Those on the sides seems to have uneven grounds. I arrived Weds to spend a night before my backpacking trip. It was great until 9pm when inconsiderate campers across my site arrived and turned on super bright lights (camp & car head lights) like there's a movie shoot - I was awakened by it. Other than their stationary light, everyone seems to be holding their own handheld super bright lights and the reflection moves as they walk around - felt like I have a disco scene at my site. I waited 2hrs to let them set up and then approached them nicely about the lights; they only turned the main light around so it won't point at me but it took til past midnight to wind down on all other beaming lights including their cars' headlights!If you will be camping here (or anywhere) please be courteous to your fellow campers - lights, sounds, tidiness etc especially if you are arriving late/towards quiet time. Everyone wants to enjoy time being in nature and I am sure you do not want your experience ruined by rude visitors.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
