Incredible camp site! Right by the river. There is the beautiful drive by the meadow close by. Also bathrooms at the campsite, which is nice. Rangers are incredibly helpful.

Clean bathrooms, easy check in and great location but its a big campground and sometimes the neighbors are noisy at night.

Prime location. Right on the river and a few trailheads with lovely hiking. The lodge has a store, restaurant and free wifi.

This location was great! The bathrooms at the campground were always spotless. A lot of good hiking options around us, and we loved the tranquility.

Great scenic campground in the canyon close to the village amenities.

This is a very nice campground in Kings Canyon National Park. It is close to the Visitor's Center, and they have ranger talks frequently in the summer. The campground has bear boxes at each site along with bear safe trash containers sprinkled around the site. The bathrooms were clean and had running water. Sites were not too close together but also weren't far enough (typical campground). Within walking distance of the lodge store/snack shop nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful local. Quiet well maintained campground. Lots of bear activity in the campground this year so be careful to follow all food and trash rules. Be sure to see Roaring River and Muir rock at Roads End.

The most disappointing aspect of the camping trip is that we could only stay 2 nights. All other sites were either full or a VERY FEW were available for 1 night. The first night we observed that nearly 1/3 of the sites were empty. The second night, about the same. I asked the ranger that was driving around the campground, she said it is unfortunate that many people reserve the sites but don't show up and don't cancel to get a partial refund. This is outrageous.The other problem is that there is no cell service there, in itself, that's why we go camping. But, the rangers don't have service either, so there is no way to tell if a campsite is available or reserved while you're there to possibly extend your stay another night. The Visitor's Center knows nothing about the campsites, only the Campground Office, which also knows no current status. Useless.

Beautiful campground in the middle of Kings Canyon National Park. There are bathrooms, a visitor center, and a drinking water fountain. No showers!

Very nice campground. Some bathrooms were closed. The campground is between the river and the road, so more than likely you will be listening to one of them. Overall, a nice and well-kept facility.

Great site and great location. Beautiful tall trees and creek nearby. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Fire rings and grills are good. Bear box was functional. Bears visited the campground 2 out of our 3 nights my guess is that it was mostly due to a large party who werent diligent about food and trash storage.

I actually dont want to write a review about how great this campground, and Kings Canyon, are. I dont want the secret to get out and have swarms of people show up!! This campground is the perfect location to explore KC! The visitors center, gen store and showers are just across the street. Youre next to the river for fishing or letting the kids plays in the shallows. The drive to either of the falls or roads end and Muir Rock are just minutes. And theyre beautiful minutes of driving! Beautiful hikes are within easy reach of the siteseven one that we went on and had NO ONE ELSE THERE THE ENTIRE HIKE!! (But I wont mention which one that is. Youll need to do some exploring on your own and see if you can have the same magical experience). This is our 3rd time staying down in the canyon (as opposed to up in Sunset Campground) and this camp is awesome! Sunset was loud and felt kind of party-ish or influencer pit-stop vibeSentinel is quiet and peaceful. We came with 5 other families and we all loved our time here!

Quiet and peaceful! The showers were good and the hamburger was delicious.

The bathrooms were clean and the site was good but around 9pmCars were honking and people were banging pots we were not sure why as it was another part of the campground. Sadly no rangers were there to help us. People left out plastic bins as they figured this is bear proof and no rangers did anything but earlier that week there was an issue with a bear so not sure why there is no one to be available at the campground for us

Campground and facilities were good. However we did not like the fact that the toilets did not have lights. Also it was not obvious what sinks should be used to wash dishes. Some faucets had handles that you constantly need to hold that made washing/filling water a bit challenging. Also the directions and sign to the campground was not good. We missed the campground as there was no sign on the road. Better signage will be helpful.

Loved this campground! We were in campsite 22, which was perfectly located on the outer rim, near the river, close to the bathroom and water spigot. The market at Cedar Grove Lodge was surprisingly well-stocked, and there were showers available there. All in all, the perfect campground.

Campsites are good but seem bunched up. The visitors center is small and not a typical visitors center selling souvenirs. About 5min away there is a small store for goods & souvenirs.

Nice set up

We loved it here! Our site had close neighbors but they were all respected quiet hours so no problem. We got to pitch our tent in a flat area surrounded by trees to the back. Bathrooms were pretty close and clean. Appreciated having the dishwashing sink and drain. Highlight was being able to access the river and enjoy a tiny beach we found. Having the token showers nearby at Cedar Grove was also great.

We waited 4 years to come back. Had a great time accept for dealing with an overbearing ranger. The campground is nice and bathrooms are clean. Useful info: Cedar Grove market has showers and a laundromat. The pack station accepts cash or check only, make sure to visit in person to set up a ride. The water in the river was fast and high so absolutely no swimming.Lastly the park rangers run the campground like military. I put in a formal complaint one ranger was rude and said because we left a cooler with drinks in it out of the bear box they were going to kick us out. Make sure to put your things including empty coolers/ice chests away. They act like you cant go to the bathroom and leave anything out. Ive been camping for years and never had an encounter like this.

Peaceful campground with sites spaced apart, enjoyed hiking during the day and hanging out by the river in the afternoon.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
