Loved this campground! We were in campsite 22, which was perfectly located on the outer rim, near the river, close to the bathroom and water spigot. The market at Cedar Grove Lodge was surprisingly well-stocked, and there were showers available there. All in all, the perfect campground.

Nice set up

Campsites are good but seem bunched up. The visitors center is small and not a typical visitors center selling souvenirs. About 5min away there is a small store for goods & souvenirs.

We loved it here! Our site had close neighbors but they were all respected quiet hours so no problem. We got to pitch our tent in a flat area surrounded by trees to the back. Bathrooms were pretty close and clean. Appreciated having the dishwashing sink and drain. Highlight was being able to access the river and enjoy a tiny beach we found. Having the token showers nearby at Cedar Grove was also great.

We waited 4 years to come back. Had a great time accept for dealing with an overbearing ranger. The campground is nice and bathrooms are clean. Useful info: Cedar Grove market has showers and a laundromat. The pack station accepts cash or check only, make sure to visit in person to set up a ride. The water in the river was fast and high so absolutely no swimming.Lastly the park rangers run the campground like military. I put in a formal complaint one ranger was rude and said because we left a cooler with drinks in it out of the bear box they were going to kick us out. Make sure to put your things including empty coolers/ice chests away. They act like you cant go to the bathroom and leave anything out. Ive been camping for years and never had an encounter like this.

Peaceful campground with sites spaced apart, enjoyed hiking during the day and hanging out by the river in the afternoon.

Because this is currently the only campground open, it was very crowded with every site full. While the trees are beautiful, they don't offer any privacy, so be prepared to be in full view of your neighbors at all times. Bathrooms have running water, flush toilets and are well maintained. Table was not level at all, unless you're interested in moving it. Parking spot is also a good distance from the picnic table/bear box/fire ring.

Excellent campground experience at site 21, close to the river. Plenty of space for two tents. Great shade. Nice firepit. Close to a water spigot. Not too far from the bathroom and not too close. Bathrooms were decent with flushing toilets and a sink. I enjoyed Sentinel more than the Lodgepole campground in Sequoia NP. Would recommend going to see Zumwalt meadows, Roaring River Falls, and the Mist Falls in Paradise Valley for a very nice day hike. Cedar Grove store has showers if you need one, and ice too.

Spacious site , no shade and the parking lot is on the right pavement road, beautiful river and trails Muy espacioso, no tiene sombra el parquing est un poco engaoso pareciera ser una carretera , pero muy linda experiencia con el hermoso ro

Far too many people with no campground etiquette and far too many barking dogs. We had two people come into our campsite and take wood when they thought no one was looking!!!!! Ive been camping at cedar grove for 68 years and itll be a long time before I come back. Its very sad.

Good campground. Our site (32 I believe) was a little close to another site but had a little stream behind it and cool rock formation. Best sites are right along the river. Very clean pit toilets.

The campsite was huge! We really loved its proximity to the Zumwalt Meadow.

Nice site. Just challenging to find a flat ground. I arrived super late at night. But overall its a great site!

Site #20 is private on the right outer loop. You can hear the river! I was in a rooftop tent so we could make use of the parking space, but this site is perfect for tent camping if you want to get a little further away from the other sites. Quiet campground, would stay again.

Wonderful campground! Located way north east into park so less crowded compared to lodgepole and the scenery in campground is gorgeous. Saw bears close by. Drive up there is part of what makes it a great trip. Wish there were showers within grounds rather than over at market but wasnt a huge deal. Would love to go again. Women who sells shower tokens and firewood at market is very nice and helpful.

Campsites had a nice amount of space between them so you didn't feel too close to your next door neighbor. Lots of tree cover. Sinks in the bathrooms seemed to lose almost all pressure somewhat frequently but they were also fixed by maintenance quickly. Good location for easily accessing the waterfalls within Kings Canyon NP. Close to the lodge with supplies, showers, laundry, and food.

Quite and clean rangers very kindly.

The campsite was quiet and spacious. The ranger was very accommodating when we saw the original campsite we booked and asked to be assigned to a different one because our pickup truck wouldn't fit well at the first sight. We also appreciated the rangers coming around frequently to check for any bear activity.

Magnificent! Going in late May avoided the crowds with the perfect weather. Sentinel was the only campground open, but from the looks of the others it is the best. Spots 13 an 14 are closest to the river and really nice. Spots 34 and 33 are about as private as you can get in a NP. Lots of elbow room.

Roomy camp site close to water and the restrooms. Enough shade for the tent and to throw our two hammocks up. Would book this one again.
@AngelV5811924 · Camped on May 26, 2025 at Campsite #65
The campground was clean, including the restrooms. The river was just a short walk away from our campsite. I highly recommend this campground to whomever is thinking about visiting Kings Canyon National Park.
@KajalGB1841674 · Camped on May 25, 2025 at Campsite #7
Very nice campground. The river and the peaceful atmosphere made our stay heavenly. The campground has all the amenities and is properly maintained. The bathrooms could have been a little bit cleaner but nonetheless it was a great experience camping here.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
