Stayed for 2 nights. #57 is perfect and beautiful. Big campsite that can prolly fit 3 tents. We arrived at 4 am but somebody was occupying are campsite but looks like they left before sunrise. Campground was quiet and we had a good time. Theres a lot of bees and mosquitoes and flies at this time in October. Park ranger checks the campers but restrooms were dirty. Stayed from friday until sunday noon time but no one cleans the restroom especially the restroom next to site 22. Sink inside both men and womens is clogged, toilet paper all over the floor. We were able to swim in the river. No smoke eventhough theres wildfire alert. No bear encounter too. Campground is almost 1 hr drive from Grant Grove Village and theres no cell coverage so plan ahead.

I enjoyed my camping experience at Sentinel Campground, Site #57, in Kings Canyon NP. Pros: It was more remote and peaceful than expected. Scenic wild country, offering many day hikes with easy to difficult ratings. Backpackers could hike into the high Sierras. Pros: Large campsites. No crowds or hustle and bustle as in Yosemite 3 days ago. Here there was water and flush toilets. Good hiking in the wild Sierras. Cons: no showers or services. (There was a lodge complex which appeared to be closed). The pine trees dripped resin all over my car's windows and bodywork. This was hard to remove.

If you want to be deep in the canyon and near many of the "End of the Road" sites, then this is your place!

Facing to the beautiful meadow, somewhat both sides of my site were closed/vacant and I even had great privacy on top of big spce to begin with. Close to the visitor center with friendly rangers, and market shop, very convenient.

This is a wonderful campsite. The individual sites were spacious and spaced apart comfortably. The shade of the trees provided great shade during the heat of the day in the middle of summer. This should be considered if you are dependent on sun exposure for any solar panel power needs. The camp is adjacent to the river and provided easy access to the water. Bear activity is a real so recommended precautions should be heeded. There is no cellular access in the area.

Large campsites, good location. Loved being able to see the stars from the tent. Only downside was no lights or running water in the bathroom. Had to use the utility sink outside for brushing and washing hands.

We love this campground! Very scenic and relatively spacious sites, some slightly better than others. The facilities are well kept and short distance away from the sites. Sheep Creek behind the campground is a nice, added bonus.
