Cottonwood Point Campground in Marion County is located 1 hr 2 min southeast of Salina, KS with an elevation of 1,365 feet. There are a total of 171 campsites including 2 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 167 sites can accommodate RVs between 24 and 122 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 114 sites have electric and water hookups. 57 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $10.00 to $100.00. Some amenities include shower, playground, boat ramp, swimming, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Campsites were nice but were being mowed the time we were there. Windy weather the whole time we were there never put the boat on in the water. We went into Hillsboro to shop and eat. Hopefully our next trip the weather will be better.

The campsites had not been mowed tall weeds everywhere we brought out our own push lawnmower to clean up the site around the campfire ring and campsite. In the shower house the seat in the shower was broken off the wall and laying on the shower floor. I have never been to a corps campsite that was so unkept. Hoping it was a one off due to it being early in the season

Me and my wife enjoyed #88; it was clean, we had plenty of room for what we needed. The amenities were great; power, water, grill and we had a nice view of the lake. Only issue was the restroom was locked..

Cold and windy weekend, with not very many people. This side of the lake was quieter after boat ramp hours. Too early in the season and poor fishing weather limited traffic that is assumed heavier and right next to campsite. Site was maintained at acceptable level. Flush toilet with sink outhouse and water withing walking distance. Showers on other side of campground.

We really enjoyed being at Cottonwood Point! We had site 34. The only thing that we didnt like about it so much was how sloping it was. Other than that, it was a great location!

We were a week and a half early for them to turn on the water/ unlock the bathrooms.. wouldnt have picked the site if we knew that. We have needed a bathroom accommodation.

Site 80 was a great site with nice shade and views. Major water leak had shut down the water hookups in this entire loop but we were able to fill our fresh tank easily in a different loop. Verizon great, good 50amp power.

Great campground and spot. Only disappointment is the fire ring at this site has been damaged and ring needs to be replaced. The nearby restroom has been inoperable for years, sad!

I don't understand how such a nice campground can't have any bathroom facilities open. We were there in July and only 2 were open in the entire campground area. This time, none were open. Might be time to fix up the restrooms that are padlocked shut. It's been quite a few years.

camped out during the week in the fall. Had most of the lake to itself. One bathroom was open by the office on the north side. Peacefull time. camping area was well maintained.

Spot is large, extra parking spot, Great Lake access, and beautiful. Close to road but quiet. It is extremely sloped. We had to park within inches of the water spout to get level WITH leveling blocks. There are 2 large rocks on the spot, we used those for extra support in front of wheels.

Campsite was nice but certainly needs more gravel or rocks on camping pad. Had rain before and during trip. Made for wet muddy site. Playground had same problem with water and mud. Grandkids could not use. Other than that nice place.
