Three years ago we reported that the light in the bathrooms near the boat ramp was out. Three years later the light is still not working after dusk.

The sites worked out great for our family campout - close to the water which the kids thoroughly enjoyed and also close to the shower house. Space around us was also great for family yard games.

One of our go to campgrounds. Onlly issue is the old section (1-91) bathrooms need major upgrades.

The bathrooms were closed. The showers were closed. The bathroom by the boat ramp was open. But if you didnt have a camper with a bathroom you were out of luck. I based my spot off of the bathroom being there by the campsite. The one I booked by was closed and that messed up my plan having kids there with me as well. Also the brush around the waters edge needs cleaned up some. Could barely get to the water from the camp spots.

I enjoyed my two week stay. I would have stayed until winter if I didn't have to move every two weeks. I'll definitely be back!!

Great spot w/ sewer hook-up and water.

There was a major leak at the water source. The water pressure was low into camper. The leak made it very wet at the back of camper.Else the campsite was good and we enjoyed our stay. Quiet and relaxing.

It is a great pull thru site with water access right out in front of the spot. However there is very little shade which contradicts what is stated in the reservation. We camped a few weeks after a flood and the site had not been cleaned up, had lots of debris scattered all over the area. Due to the fact that there was not much shade and all the debris is the reason for the lower review. I would highly suggest some form of wasp spray and most of the awning are filled with wasp nests. This would be a fantastic spot in spring or fall when the temps werent over 95 degrees.

We like the covered patios, and all 3 utilities are available.Easy to get into our spots.

Nice corner lot with lots of room. Site was level and easy to back into. There was not much shade for the camper but the surrounding area is full of trees. Wasps seem to be a huge problem at cottonwood point, every spot we have stayed has been overwhelmed with them. The grill was filthy and full of wasps as well.

Considering the high lake water levels before/during our visit the campsite/campground were in remarkably good shape and all hookup amenities in working order.My appreciation to the park staff for having the campground safe to occupy and fully operational.

Very relaxing time we go midweek.

Camp sites are. Overgrown and in disrepair. We had to bring our own mower and clean up campsites. We have never seen it like this. We go out often and have had to mow our own sites. Grass and weeds were up to my knees. Why arent they taking care of cottonwood point? Who do we need to complain to? Its a federal recreation area!

The grass wasn't mowed and there were about 200 spiders in our camp area, other than that the lake is great
@KristinB130134 · Camped on Jun 13, 2025 at Campsite #109
The grass is not mowed around the campsites but it is overall quiet.
@CindyF6787661 · Camped on Jun 13, 2025 at Campsite #108
Grass has not been mowed for weeks. So tall. Couldnt let dogs out. Couldnt get to fire pit due to weeds. Not just our site, whole campground Campground is awesome, just not the unmowed weeds
@LauraC7322672 · Camped on Jun 12, 2025 at Campsite #37
Camper park place so unlevel we had to use all 12 of our lifts +two 2x8s and the grass was so tall and full of weeds, had not been mowed probably the worst camping spot weve ever had The only consolation was the weather was great and the thrift store, ETC in Hillsboro and Marion auxiliary thrift stores. Were both really great.

Two of the shade trees are dead, so there is minimal shade in the afternoons. Good water access for fishing or canoe/kayak launching. Good fire pit and nice to have the awning over the table, bring wasp spray in case they have built nests though. No issues with utilities. Required 1-2 blocks to level on the low side.
@KellyC6920636 · Camped on Jun 6, 2025 at Campsite #108
The campground is getting very run down. 2 of the 4 shower houses/bathrooms are locked up and one of them has been for over a year and 1 of the showers in another bath house is out of order. Grass is very high, the shelter over the picnic table was rotting out.
@TrentMD0AC7339 · Camped on Jun 6, 2025 at Campsite #159
We love coming to Cottonwood Point because the sites and there nice spacious grassy areas. Its unfortunate that the grass has not been mowed recently.
@AndreEA06FD336 · Camped on Jun 6, 2025 at Campsite #84
Site was clean and maintained decent. Water and electric worked fine during our stay. With recent rains water was up to the bank right behind the campsite. We had a great time. Plenty of space between other campers.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
