It was very quiet..only 4 campers total. We had a nice, level pull through right at waters edge, and enjoyed it very much!

This was our last camping trip of the season. We had never been to Marion Reservoir, so this was a new experience for us. We love fall camping as usually you pretty much have the campground to yourself. We picked a site from the app going strictly by the pictures. First of all, the campground is immediately off highway 56. This is a busy highway with lots of truck traffic. There was definitely a lot of traffic noise during the day and the night. Fortunately, we slept with the windows closed and the furnace on, so the noise wasn't overwhelming, but it sure could have been if you wanted to sleep with the windows open in the spring/summer. Of course, being late in the season, the heated shower/toilets where closed (which we expected). There was a male and female vault toilet within a short walk from our campsite. The toilet seat in the men's restroom was broken in half, so we both ended up using the women's toilet. The whole time we were there, we never saw a park ranger, local Sherriff, or camp host. When we arrived, sure enough, we had picked a campsite that had a RV parked in the next space over. All of the rest of the camp sites in the whole campground were empty. We tried to modify our reservation to move a site or two down, but the app wouldn't let us move to a different site. It said that all of the rest of the sites were not available for the time we were going to be there. (But no one else ever showed up the whole time we were there.) There were garbage cans for use nearby, but all were full and no trash pickup while we were there. On the positive side, the first night we arrived, I caught 3 nice White Bass right out behind our camper. The lake had been really high, so lots of vegetation was submerged making for good fishing. The campsite was pretty decent...right on the lake, (lots of trees), firepit, covered picnic table, nice gravel parking spot. The neighbor turned out to be a nice guy, so we had a nice visit. Overall a good last trip!

Camp sites were clean and well spaced. They did lock restrooms last day of October. Beautiful lake.

Nice clean restroom when we arrived, area mowed, and camping areas neat. Trash was kept from overflowing. So much nicer than our spring camping experience. This time was like it use to be. We enjoy camping at Hillsboro Cove

It would have been nice if the shelter would have been clean. Another plus would be having the area mowed instead of having to navigate 1-3 foot tall grass. It also would have been nice if the womens restroom would have been accessible.

The entrance road is gonna do some serious damage to vehicles entering/leaving the area. Been bad for the last 2 years and getting worse. Area is not mowed as it used to be. Some sites have been out of service for a long time. Too bad, used to be our favorite place to camp.
@JohnW4841416 · Camped on Sep 14, 2025 at Campsite #51
We enjoyed being directly on the lake. We camped in mid-fall and there were not many people at the campground. The bathrooms/showers were clean and accessable. We enjoyed our stay.

As we are both mobility challenged, this spot was FANTASTIC! Close to the water for fishing, and easy to park the RV.

Entrance road is a terror and serious accident waiting to happen. Although Ive called and wrote several times, nothing is done. Road is washed out with huge holes. Enter at your own risk!!

Campground is nearly empty during the week at the end of August. Nice large well spaced sites with electric and water.

For a large family gathering, the location worked out perfectly! Close to swimming area for kiddies, close to boat dock for unloading, close to restrooms for, well...and the perfect spot for grilling and chilling! Look forward to next summer and another day at the lake.

Love this campground. Close to Marion and Hillsboro for supplies. Quiet campground. Only complaint is the road entering in a horrible hazard. Enter at your own risk. Ive complained about it for years and just keeps getting worse.

We will be back next year. Our friends from Nebraska would rather come here than Milford reservoir

Drive into park needs some serious road work. Very sad condition. Park wasnt mowed but they started when I left. Needs a little up keep and needs fish cleaning station. Really nice park all in all

This was a fantastic site! It was long.. like bring your 45 toy hauler, and boat, and utility trailer, long! It had the best view of the lake and we were even able to access the water from our site to swim and launch our kayaks. The park was VERY quiet. In fact the entire lake was quiet! We were one of two campers in our loop. The town of Hillsboro was about 10 minutes away and had anything we may have needed. We didnt use the shower facilities, but peeked in and they appeared well kept. The only reason we didnt give this 5 stars is because the entire area is badly in need of mowing. There was a bag of trash hanging from the grill at our site as well as random trash that should have been seen by the camp host riding around on the golf cart, but was never picked up. Our site was right across a small cove from a boat ramp. It wasnt busy, so that wasnt an issue. 50 amp and water worked great! Nice picnic table that was covered. Lots of trash containers that appeared to be dumped regularly. Nice shade for most of the day. We would definitely stay here again!

25 was a nice spot. It had good privacy. It was backwards, the picnic table, etc. were on the opposite side to the door. There was water access but it was a little ways back and shrubbery blocking it.

We were very disappointed.The access road TERRIBLE!!When we got to the camp site it in took me a half hour to clean up after the previous occupants, food scraps everywhere.The campsite looked like it hadn't been mowed for weeks.
@ShelleyRA24357 · Camped on Jun 27, 2025 at Campsite #42
Site 41 is wonderful! Lots of room and shade! Only setback is water hookup but since we have a holding tank that wasnt an issue! We had to move our reservation to Hillsboro Cove since the original campsite at Cottonwood Point was flooded. But it turned out great and we will book again!
@Christine33606 · Camped on Jun 19, 2025 at Campsite #39
To be fair, there had been a lot of rain just before I camped here. I stayed for about 10 days. Many sites were flooded, but not blocked off. Everything was very overgrown, even the areas that were not flooded at all. I found the site itself to be very level and spacious. The campground as a whole was very quiet and enjoyable.

We love camping here and normally its great! This trip though nothing was mowed or kept up. Trash was overflowing in areas. This is not normal for this area at all. But itsa beautiful lake and often very peaceful and a great place to visit!

The are in not being mowed or trash picked up often enough but other than that it was good

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
