Canning Creek Campground in Morris County is located 51 min south of Manhattan, KS with an elevation of 1,314 feet. There are a total of 43 campsites including 2 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of October. 37 sites can accommodate RVs between 10 and 120 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 33 sites have electric and water hookups. 7 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $14.00 to $160.00. Some amenities include shower, playground, boat ramp. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

This is a favorite of ours - great campsites that are well taken care of! Council Grove is a fantastic small town with a rich history.

It was very nice and quiet. I love the lake and Joel was extremely helpful. He got us in a spot that we could fit because we had a 40 foot motorhome and another 26 foot trailer so everything worked out really well and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The campground is beautiful and immaculate. Theres a view from every camping spot of the lake. The showers and bathrooms were clean and I like that theres a heater in there when you need it.

Canning Creek is one of our favorites. It is hard to beat the essence of the Tall Grass Prairie.

If you want beautiful scenery and relaxation this is the place to go. We watched beautiful sunsets and sunrises every morning sitting on the lake. The spaces between other campers was nice you wasnt right on top of the other. You had your own pavilion and the campsites were angles just right where you come out of your door and had lake view. We drove almost 8 hours but well worth it. We will be going back.

We stayed at Canning Creek campground in a travel trailer for 2 nights. Site was plenty (huge) big enough. Our site was beautiful and back up to the lake. When we want into town a school teacher asked where we were camping, I told her Canning Creek she said it was the old folk's campground. Old folks or not we loved it. I should say we are young old folks. Our neighbors were great too. If we are ever in the area again, we will stay here again. Showers were clean did not use restrooms. Peaceful place to camp. Best campground we stopped at from Ohio to California.

Site 36 was nice. The shower house and park for the kids were right by with a walk across the road getting you to water access. Complete hookups too, including waste.
