camped out during the week in the fall. Had most of the lake to itself. One bathroom was open by the office on the north side. Peacefull time. camping area was well maintained.

Large, clean, shaded, mowed, waterfront spot with water and electricity. Right across from bathroom/showers but they were out of order. Same last year. It would be a perfect score if the bathrooms were open.

Nice place. Hard to use boat dock due to low water and people leaving boats tied up all day and going to their campsite . Would be nice if loading and unloading at the dock was enforced.

The park is not being maintained. Since 2022 there is one bathroom that still does not have hot water. The Corp says the hot water tank is back ordered. Since last year? There are faucets that are leaking that we told the Corp last year that was leaking. I am extremely disappointed as my tax dollars goes in the fund to help maintain the park. There is no camp hosts due to no people requesting signing up to be a camp hosts. Of course, when you work the camp hosts that were there to death..who wants to work. The Rangers just drive around but do not interact with the campers at all. A little bit of chit chat and really listening to the campers need goes a long way. Unfortunately, the park is not the same park.

this facility is not keeping up with maintenance of their equipment and buildings. The campsite we were in the thread on the water facuet leaks. We told one of the rangers last year about it and it still leaks. The sanitation station has the same issue. The cut off hose,s thread sprays water everywhere. Stayed for 5 days and did not see trash service. Racoons got into the trash and clearly having a party, The bathroom across from number 33 in Cottonwood Point is disgusting and needs a hot water tank that has been ordered but this was an issue last year. It would be nice to be notified when the water would be turned off for maintenance on another campsite. It is hard to be nice when you are in the shower with no way to rinse off because the water was off. This used to be a really pretty place but it is going down hill fast. The Corp of Engineers lock themselves away..far away from the campers and we never see them. I know short of staff is an issue but don't you think it is time to think out of the box and have some items fixed? If you call the Corp you get an answering service and they do call back though. The place was very beatiful and good fishing from bank. Very nice and polite staff and very helpful. The only thing I would like to see would be the site more level because it was hard to get 5th wheel level. This was site 33 in cottonwood point.
