Big Pine Creek Campground is located in the White Mountain Ranger District, Inyo National Forest (5 hrs 11 min northeast of Reedley, CA) with an elevation of 7,752 feet. There are a total of 30 campsites including 4 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from mid May to mid October. 26 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 45 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $24.00 per night.

This is a nice campground with nice views of the mountains. The sites are good and offer pretty good privacy. This is a dry campground, no water, only in the river that runs through campground. There is water at nearby Sage Flat campground for drinking. The campground has a general store with some items, not many, but you can buy bottled water. There are no showers, no flush toilets. There are some cabins for rent also. It is about 10 miles from Big Pine uphill.

The campground is well kept. Very clean and you can tell someone is taking care of it. the site are so nice too. Most are shaded. I am planning to take my family here next time. It such a beautiful campsite, I truly recommend it.

Our site was shady and beautifully maintained with a carefully raked tent site. The camp host was very approachable, helpful, and responsive.

Clean, quiet, discrete sites with trees separating them. Nice water sounds from Big Pine Creek.

Lots of shade. While we were staying there was no water at all and we got there without any information (maybe our fault?) but even on the information board was nothing about that fact and the host was not very helpful in this situation.Additionally we didnt liked the bed for the tent. It was too small and had wooden barriers so it was tricky to place the tent.

Campsites are cramped/piled on top of one another and have almost no privacy. Practically need a four-wheel drive to navigate the road through the campground. Camp host was not available the three times I stopped by to try to land a different campsite (mine was right next to the bathroom with no room for a tent - which was not clear when I booked). I ended up forfeiting the fee and booking a much more desirable site at the Upper Sage Flat campground.

The campsite we reserved was not acceptable! The site was on multiple levels and the bear box was on the lowest level making it impossible to carry our ice chest down to that level for security. We were able to find another site at an additional cost..$. The campsite manager could not refund our reservation costs($), saying that he did not have authority. We request a refund, or a credit towards our next recreation.gov reservation.

I made this reservation very close to the date we visited so my name wasnt on the camp post. There was no water available and I found out later it was a dry campsite. Otherwise it was a nice venue and we had a good time.

camp sites are very small, but well kept. the creek through the campground is lovely, and there's plenty of shade from the July sun. the campground road, however, needs some serious maintenance expect large frost heaves and tree root intrusions. very low clearance cars may have trouble, but with all the cuts to the USFS budget, don't expect any improvements soon.

Only negative was there was no available potable water from any of the faucets at the entire campground. Had to drive to a separate campground to fill our water containers.

Great campground!! Our campsite gave us pretty decent privacy and was near the creek which was nice. The roads within the campground are a bit rough so drive carefully. There are only vault toilets but they were clean and well maintained! Definitely would come back again some day.

Very clean vault bathrooms and looks like some of the fire pits have been redone which is awesome. Super quiet, too. Probably my favorite campground!

Lovely campground, very clean and picturesque. Sites close to the creek are recommended prior to mosquito season. Guests adhered to quiet hours and were respectful regarding noise. Campground close to trail head. Onsite workers helpful and kinds. Would stay here again.
