I love Oh Ridge. Ive been coming here for pretty much my whole life and everything is always clean, the people are always nice, and the camp hosts are always helpful and friendly. Couldnt recommend it enough.

Everything was fantastic except for having to walk down to the beach. I think that guests who are already paying the camping fees should be able to have beach access. Others who come just for the day charge them the $10. I know it's for trash pick up but this is California, all those taxes, and I know I paid extra fees by booking it through recreation.gov. Allocate some of that for a trash service to come and clean up if people are slobs. I would never leave trash on the beach. I'm 54 and I've been coming to that campground since I was seven years old. I don't like the restricted beach access. It would be so convenient to be able to just drive down and park and get the chairs and everything out right there. $46 a night should include beach access. The hosts are terrific and deserve a lot of credit for their dedication and kindness.

Thus was a celebration for our 20th wedding Anniversary. We have camped around June Lake before but this was our first time at Oh Ridge. In general the location is well located and easy to find. We enjoyed touring around the town and enjoyed a visit to Mammoth Lakes as well. My husband found a wonderful restaurant, Eagles Landing to celebrate our special night. It was really good! The lake itself is stunning and we enjoyed fishing in our little boat although the $30 launch fee is steep. The view of the granite mountains from our site and from the lake were beautiful and we enjoyed unplugging and seeing the sites. We've been there before, and we will be back to enjoy the solitude and the lake. We live in the tourist town of South Lake Tahoe and really appreciated this much more quiet mountain setting. Peace and quiet is highly underrated.

I wish that people who paid to camp at Oh Ridge were allowed to bring their cars to the beach for free, or at least for a reduced rate.

Campsite is well kept, located at the entrance of June lake beach. Not big area to put multiple tents because there's a lot of bushes around. Bathroom was clean but bring your own handsoap. To park in june lake beach is $10 cash but free if you walk down and its an easy 5-10mins walk. Camp host is next to the campsite and they sell firewood for $10.

Great experience. Not much shade and lots of wind.

Our site ended up being very close to other people with more interaction than I was seeking.

The spot was perfect! Just a short walk down to the lake and we were next to the camp host, who was selling bundles of firewood for $10. There was plenty of space between the campsites and it was pretty quiet the whole time we were there. We'll definitely be coming back!

We absolutely loved our time at Oh Ridge! One of our favorite parts was being able to walk to the lake from our spot, #52 The lake is beautiful! The bathrooms and sites were kept very clean. The only downside was that our site had no shade. All the other sites seemed to have trees giving shade in the daytime. But besides that we loved our time at Oh Ridge and would definitely come back!

Everyone is really kind. The hosts, the Rangers, the check-in for the Beach, and all of the guests surrounding us it was a very updated experience. Weve been coming here for a long time, and this was amazing.

We had a very relaxing time at Oh Ridge Campground. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable, the sites and facilities were clean and well-kept, and during our three-day stay, neighboring campers were very peaceful. It was an easy walk from the campground to reach the beach at June Lake, and the stars at night were phenomenal.

Please get new camp hosts. I never felt welcome and often policed for absolutely no reason. These folks are walking around with a superiority complex, often speaking down to you in a condescending and demeaning way.

We had a wonderful time at Oh Ridge. Friendly service. We were surprised that we had to pay $10 to park at the lake since we were camping there. Not much shade. Overall, a good camping experience.

We had originally planned to camp two nights but ended up staying four. Campground was very nice, the lake was wonderful, and the little town of June Lake was great. General store in the town has EVERYTHING you could want. We went into Yosemite two days because the Tioga Pass entrance was only about a half hour away.

Incredibly noisy neighbors way past quiet hours (1am), Host wouldn't do anything

Most all was good but I paid a little more for the first nights stay because I thought I was supposed to pay an additional fee for my tent trailer.It was not clear that it was not considered an additional vehicle until I spoke with a park ranger and there was no additional charge for my trailer.

Big, well organized campground.

We had a great time at Oh Ridge! We loved how close it was to June Lake (less than a 10 min walk) and our site was nice and shady. The only negative is that there was no bathroom on our loop (Coyote) so we had to walk a little further and there were no showers. Otherwise, it's a nice campground and we'd definitely return!
@CindyC3653513 · Camped on Jul 31, 2025 at Campsite #72
The dirt was extremely loose so it was very difficult to set up the tent. Everything else was great.
@MichaelD829846 · Camped on Jul 31, 2025 at Campsite #151
Campground is quiet and well spaced out. But there is a fair distance from the lake to walk with lake toys and cooler chests in tow. If you need to bring the car down to the lake even briefly to bring the gears down, they wanna charge you $10. The day we camped, water is shut off at the entire camp and a few nearby camps. We ended up going to Mammoth lakes to enjoy the fishing and paddling. Cell coverage is decent. Camp at your own risk.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
