We loved this campsite. There was just enough shade to ensure we don't get overheated, but also enough sun to enjoy the warmth during the day. The site overlooks June Lake, while also being a short 10 minute walk to the lake itself. The nearly daily morning visits by the local deer was also an amazing experience. I'd definitely consider booking here again.

The staff were professional and very friendly, the restrooms were very clean. I plan on returning next year.

We had fun staying at this campsite. We chose this spot, site #40 for its shade and levelness. The spots are all paved for your trailer and vehicle to park on. The rest of the site is dirt. They had a bbq stand, a steel fire ring with grate, and a bear box to hold your food in. The site was quiet. This campground does have bathrooms with flushing toilets which was nice. They also have potable water that you could use to fill your rv tank or whatever you need it for. Trash dumpster provided in each section. Plenty of hiking trails nearby, the beach to the lake is within walking distance, you can rent a boat at the June Lake Marina, etc. Only thing I did not like was that they mowed all of the brush surrounding the campsite to the ground. Which took away some natural look and privacy between sites. But with all of the recent California fires, I am sure the USFS has them do it to prevent a fire. This site does not overlook the lake. However if you walk about 100 feet up, you can view the lake.

The staff here are excellent. They keep the restrooms very clean as well as each campsite as it is vacated. Kudos to Inyo Recreation.

There were wildfires in the area. We were told the campground was closed. I tried to cancel my reservation without incurring any penalties. I got charged anyway. I never received any further communication regarding my inquiry for a full refund. I chose 1 star only because there was no 0 star rating.
