What made it an excellent experience: large, flat, clean campsite with lots of trees for privacy; the fire pit and grill in great shape, as well as the picnic table; close to clean, warm restrooms; very respectful neighbors

One of the nicest National Park campgrounds I have stayed at. Liked all the large trees around the sites and the toilet facilities were great as well.

The volunteers running the campground were extremely kind, helpful, and polite. The campground restrooms were kept very clean and the sites all well maintained. I look forward to staying here again in the future, had the best time.

What a lovely campground and barely an hour from my home in the south suburbs of Chicago. The large site (number 12) afforded privacy and the bathrooms were just a short stroll. I hiked up Broadway to the Lake Michigan shore, then went south to the Kemil Beach trail. Will definitely return!

Very quiet and peaceful campground. Camp hosts kept an eye on things but were discrete. Restrooms and campsites very clean and well ordered.

The campground was nice, but showing it's age. The site we were at (47) was not as level as it looked, though we were able to level when at the very top, near the posts. We really enjoyed the Beverly Shores, and reading about the houses. The beaches and visitor centers were great.

Only complaint is this. The campsite description is not something that you should go by. The site that we chose said up to 65' in length for a pull thru. The bad part of it was, there was a slight incline, and a bend in the site. It was not straight like one would assume when reading the description online. The other thing to consider is that there are wooden posts sticking up out of the ground that made it impossible to pull thru the site. I had to actually pull forward and back into the site, because of those posts and a tree on the opposite side, and of course, the bend in the site wasn't helpful.

The campsite was clean and fit the description. The campground was quiet and calm (except for traffic and train, of course!). Overall, it was very pleasant. Restrooms were clean. (More feedback in the next section)Two somewhat unfortunate things--my picnic table was moved far to the side right near the next camper's picnic table. It was too heavy for me to move away for more privacy. Someone likely two sites down (in number) had literal floodlights shining on their complex of tables where they were working until 11 pm. It was like a TV studio in brightness. This illuminated my campsite, when I was looking to enjoy the darkness. I'd call it light pollution. Host said there is no rule against too much light. I think there should be. The idea of "camping" seems to be disappearing, in favor of bringing complete RV homes with outdoor lighting, inside air conditioners, etc. Already electrification has been installed most places. Parks are giving in to the people who fear nature, simplicity, and even short-term departure from everyday life and conveniences. There's little "camping" left. This is quite a loss. I know the pandemic brought people into the RV world, but it's time to teach camping and outdoor skills again, and to give some priority to actual campers who want to see the night sky and hear animal sounds at night. I also suggest incorporating alternatives to individual campfires, like community campfire circles, and the use of light-colored vigil candles on the table, which in a small group make a lovely and even romantic light at night. We've got to prepare people for the climate changes that are here and are looming.

Nice quiet campgrounds. Love that there is a camper's sink. Easy to get to L. Michigan and the dunes.

The camp sites were nice and big. The one thing that could be improved is the bathhouse needs some serious repair or updating.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
