Douglas Loop had great RV sites. The best in the campground IMO. If you are looking to book a walk in site, those looked really nice as well. Bathhouse and showers were clean and spacious. Host was very nice. It was quiet at night. Very close to Indiana Dunes. The restaurant that is on the corner as you enter the campground is a little more upscale. Paid $20 before taxes and a tip for a burger and side of potato salad. Food was really good and would eat it again though.

This campground is quiet, and the sites are level and spacious. I appreciate the clean bathrooms and individual shower rooms, as well.

The check in process was easy and the restroom was clean.

Recreation.gov does not work as a mechanism to make reservations and eliminate workers. I arrived with a tent on top of my car and with a reservation made for a tent site which happened to be a walk in. Luckily there were other sites available. I want to see the different sites and choose who Im camping next to. Obviously whoever set this system up has never camped.

This campground is very well maintained. Lake Michigan is about one mile away and has some of the best sunsets you will ever see!

This campground is amazing. The campsites are huge. It is clean and quiet. The Marsh Trail and the Cowles Bog are worth seeing. There are a huge variety of birds.

I had site 45. It's not level, far from it for a 32' motorhome. The campground isn't called Dunewood Campground either. The sign out front says Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore campground, which is confusing. Am I at the right place? How hard is to be consistent with what you NAME THE CAMPGROUND? None of the sites have hookups. The is a dump site with water in the park. There's a train track within a block of the campground, you'll hear the horns easily. With no power there's a lot of generator noise up to 10pm when quite hours start. When you check in, you may get helped by a lady that talks way too much about herself and her woes, complaining about the campground. Annoying. Although the signed out front says Indiana Dunes National LAKESHORE campground, that's a lie. It's nowhere close to the lakeshore, which is 5mi away. And when you get to the Indiana Dunes State Park, there are no dunes! Maybe there's one dune that you can hike. In addition to my camping fee, the state park charges $7 to see "the dune", and for out of state residents it's $12/car. After we get inside the state park and see "the dune", we drove to the campground inside the state park to see if we'd like to move there (if they have hookups). They wouldn't even let us drive through the campground after paying $12 to get in the state park!! Indiana is the most rude park system I've experienced, so I won't be back, and I won't recommend it either.

Lovely campground with clean bathrooms and take the boat ride with a park ranger. It was outstanding.

Heated and very clean bathrooms were awesome. Cleaning them at 7:30a wasn’t good timing though.
