Super beautiful like always! Wish there would have been a shower house in my circle but no biggie. We had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!!

I have always enjoyed South Sandusky campgrounds since I was a kid. Mainly in campers, but this time in a tent. I wanted a shoreline campground but they were already booked when I made plans. We were lucky to get T-3, especially during the storm that rolled through on Saturday the 19th of September. They had been calling for nasty weather but we were ok with it. Some campers with small kids packed up and went home, which was a great idea. It had been raining for awhile but nothing serious. Then around 3am, a thunderstorm rolled through with all the bells and whistles! Loud thunder, lightning flashes, strong winds! Far about an hour it was a bit intense, and then, laughable. The honeysuckle that surrounded our tent made a big difference on weakening the strength of the wind coming off of the lake. Im glad we didnt get the shoreline spot this time, Mother Nature kept us safe in the woods! Awesome Time!

Excellent campground. Best in the area. We go there 10 - 12 times a year. Would love if there is WIFI available. Would pay extra.

We come here many times it's a great place to camp. The corp of engineers keep this place up and do a great job.

We arrived right when they were closing up shop for the day. They graciously provided us with instructions to reserve a camp site for the night. It is quick and easy; and there were plenty of sites to choose from. We have a family of 4 kids and 2 adults and we used a tent site for the night. There was firewood available. We woke up to the sunrise and bird calls. It was a beautiful experience.

We LOVE the bike trails. We also love all the wildlife, such as deer, turkeys and this year a first armadillos. We had two armadillos visit our campsite two nights in a row.

Excellent campground. We've figured out that the Corps of Engineers campgrounds are universally among the best.

We were lucky to get campsite 186 in the Pine Tree loop. While we absolutely LOVE EVERYTHING about the park and the camp site, I feel like the 5:00 check in time is too late. By the time we got the spot and got set up, it was getting too dark to enjoy any day light activities. I do LOVE the 4:00 check out but maybe change the check out to 2:00 and check in at 3:00. Otherwise I love this spot and loop!!

South Sandusky, Loop Pin Oak, was wonderful. Small and quiet. The spaces are large and paved. Will definitely be back. The General Store on west side of lake is a must stop!

This campground is always so well taken care of. Clean and orderly and the sites are amazing. Need more full hookups but other than that It is great. I would also not close the beach so early.
@KeithC8792158 · Camped on Sep 18, 2025 at Campsite #188
It is a nice campground, loved riding bikes on the bike paths. Only problem we had was getting our camper level, we were on site 188 and it was on a hill, the back end was up high and front almost on the ground. Would not stay in that site again.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
