Spacious well maintained campsite with good shade. Wish we had our bikes to enjoy the paved trail.

The sites are pretty level. The bike trails are great. Just wish there was water available for longer stays.

Happy to see more full hookup sites. Love the bike trail. Nice shower house. Been coming to Rend Lake since it opened. My happy place.

We stayed in site 47, Wood duck. The site was excellent and easy to set up. I would recommend it to anyone. The reason I gave the fair rating was the campers next door in 48 had dogs that barked constantly. They could not or would not control them.

The local winery is a nice place with live entertainment on weekends.

Beautiful campground. Easy check-in. But, staff is not friendly. Especially the rangers. We were in the process of moving across the country with 2 very young children and 2 dogs. So you can imagine if we are able to get the kids both asleep it is very precious to us. We got a knock on our RV in the middle of the night when we were all asleep and woke everyone up. It was the ranger saying they had a complaint that our dogs were locked up outside all day. We had arrived that day so we weren't even there all day. Dogs were clearly inside the RV with us. So there was no reason to wake us up. Now we had an upset 8 month old that was very hard to get back to sleep and we had another long drive the next day. They could have easily handled this in the morning.We still loved the campground and would love to go back. But I think it is important for the staff to know of this unprofessional behavior.

Our site was not very level but everything else was good.

Grounds were well maintained. Staff was excellent!!! Price was exceptional!! Quiet time was insured. Shower areas were kept clean. Bike trails were a good workout but not real hard. Just one thing that was a problem-- gnats but citronella tiki torches kept them away

Beautiful, spacious site with views of the water. We saw lots of wildlife. Kids were able to ride their scooters around the loop safely. Absolutely my favorite site of all of our trips this year.

Its been 15 years since our previous visit. My wife and I both commented after camping in many states that we missed camping in southern Illinois.

A good camping trip overall. The only complaint I have is that the shower house is extremely hot , but I guess that comes with the hot weather in July.

Great area to explore. Lots of places without a ton of people to go fish or grill. Short drive to the beach. The campsite itself could have been better. While we had great views, we had a tough time with the slope of the whole campsite, you have to be mindful of bed/tent position to make sure you don't roll at night. When booking we were under the impression that only the parking pad had a slope, not the whole site. There are lots of surface roots from trees. The fire pit/grill is falling apart and the grill part doesnt lay flat. Food can and will roll off of it if you don't watch it like a hawk. The electric posts have wasps that want to stay there, even if you remove the nest.Be aware, if you want to sleep in you might not be able to. They come frequently to blow off the path to the bathroom with leaf blowers starting as early as 7 am! Horrible!!!On the plus side, lots of shade and a great breeze when the wind kicks up. The campsite right next to it isn't open, so nobody next to you, and there is a bathroom beyond that empty campsite. While you can walk to the lake next to the site, it has a barrier of rocks to climb down and the ground is a muddy sludge. We wanted to get out on inflatable boats but it was such a mess it wasn't even worth it. Bathroom and showers are what you expect when camping. The bathrooms didn't have soap at all, so bring some! Showers are kind of small, especially if you're bigger. And the doors, at least on the females, have a large gap where you can easily make eye contact with people walking past, so be mindful of that. The water pressure was great. I only took cold showers, but was informed by the rest of my party that warm/hot showers would be super cold and then super hot and kept switching throughout. Generally a good experience. Will be on the lookout for different spots without the drastic slope and tree roots for future trips.

The only thing I would recommend to improve our experience is to add another water fill access to each loop

Stayed on site #45 and it was recently redone and is absolutely great. The 'patio' area is larger, it is level, and the view of the lake is wonderful.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
