We enjoyed the close trails for hiking and that we could bring our dog. We would come back again.

We had a great experience overall at Dripping Springs! Not all of the campsites are created equal and Im very thankful we got site 8 as it had nice trees for shade, was very spacious, had a spigot, and was close (but not too close) to the bathrooms and trash. It was also an easy walk to the trailhead from our site. The only complaints were that the toilet paper was not restocked upon arrival (but was restocked within the hour) and some early morning hikers walking past our site to the trailhead (around 5am). I would recommend booking a site further into the campground, as the sites near the front were small, overgrown, lacked shade, and didnt have ample flat surfaces to pitch a tent.

We have come to this camp ground for several years. Always a great time, clean and safe. Great camp host, very friendly and helpful.

The isn't really a restroom. It's more an outhouse with a toilet with just a hole. The camping sites are small and no flat. The grill was nasty so we didn't use it. The water is a spigot a couple of feet from the toilet. Also there's lots of spiders, flies and mosquitoes.

We reserved site 7 which is a double lot. Lots of shade & close to restrooms, dumpster, & water spigot (but not too close for comfort). We went early in the week of Spring break(Mon&Tues) & practically had the place to ourselves. Lots of flys & mosquitos so be sure to bring bug spray. Camp host was lovely. We will be back.

Unable to camp there because there was somebody in our reserved spot that had been there for a long while!

Site 26 is great, the last time i camped here i was in site 22 which was closed this time but i much prefer 26. You have a great view of the mountains off to the left. you only deal with a neighbor across from you, the next site is seperated by a bathroom. Very peaceful, it is an equestrian stall which i didnt realize when i was booking through the rec.gov app. If/when i come back next will try to get this site again.

We reserved 2 camp spots next to each other with our friends. One of the campsites we reserved was closed and the other couldnt fit ground tents. The one we were reassigned to was in an equestrian area we specifically didnt book in because we had bikes and a dog and didnt want to scare the horses. The bathroom was also filthy.

This was the second time weve camped at Dripping Springs. Quote and clean sites. Easy in, easy out. Will camp there again whenever necessary.

Dripping Springs was a good camping experience, it started with some hiccups but it was smooth sailing from there.When me and my dog first arrived, the camp site I reserved was not marked as reserved and someone was already camping in our spot. I went to the camp host's site and called out for someone with no luck in finding a camp host. I drove back towards town since there is no reception on the campgrounds and called the only number listed on the campsite signs. A customer support rep from recreation.gov answered and was pretty unhelpful in helping me reach the camp host. So me and my dog drove back and decided to just take an open site and let the host find us.I ended up liking this new campsite more than the one I reserved, so it worked out. The camp host, Jim, started making his rounds a couple hours later. He had been in town when I first arrived, hence why I couldn't find anyone on arrival. Jim is a friendly guy and apologized for the mix up and was cool about me taking a new spot. From then on forward, Jim was available and present around the campgrounds.Dripping Springs campground is calm and small. Every person I saw had their dogs leashed, which I appreciated since the campsites are pretty close to one another. The only downside to this campground for me is the poo problems (dog and human). The toilets are pretty much a historical exhibit at this point by how long the poo has been sitting in those outhouses. I would say more than several months of poo is in there and the moment you open the toilet door, it smells toxic, like a methane chamber. I truly think they should close off the toilets for public safety. If you're not camping in a camper trailer/van, I encourage you to bring a compost toilet system.As for dog poo, it was all over the hiking trails, which is so unfortunate. One camper had a dog and when they left, me and my dog passed their site and saw the owner didn't pick up any of the dog's poo. There needs to be accountability on this.

Beautiful campground, mostly level sites, clean bathrooms. Friendly and diligent host. The highlight is the many hiking trails and abundant wildlife, So nice to see families enjoying the great outdoors by tent camping and hiking. About a 6 mile drive into Temecula Ranchos.

Amazing little hidden gem. The facilities were clean and welcoming. Trails were abundant and easy to access. The caretaker was friendly and welcoming. The injection is that if you can get a spot towards the back of the campground youll hear less road noise.

We enjoyed our long weekend stay here. It's a lovely campsite with a very friendly camp host, but it's in desperate need of some TLC. The picnic table sets are old and most are damaged with peeling paint and splinters, the grills are old and some are missing or broken. They could also do with better signposts on the road - we had to guess that we were in the right place. And Google maps does not have the correct position of the entrance.

small campground with well-stocked pit toilets. the highway is just outside the campgrounds and you can easily hear the cars driving by in the evening and early morning. when the cars arent going by you can hear coyotes howling and owls hooting.

Many sites that are listed as shaded have had trees cut. Unfortunate but of course necessary. Recreation does not have up to date info for the sites. Luckily the weekend we visited was quite empty and the host who was friendly and thoughtful, approached us on arrival offering a better, shaded site. It was much appreciated. Wilderness trail access directly from the campground was excellent. Coyotes are very active so keep your pets close. Temecula is on the way in and easy access for firewood or anything you need to pick up. Being so close to a main road, cars are heard at all times while at the campground. Neighbors in the valley have roosters and dogs that were very noisy. Still was an enjoyable stay.

My experience at Dripping Springs was FANTASTIC! My daughter and I spent the night here and really loved the casualness, the cleanliness, the location under the trees and the epic trails around the campsite. We intend to return when time permits, but I wouldn't hesitate to share that my story was nothing short of PERFECT. Well Done to the Team who manages the grounds.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
