Reserved the site #7 (double fee site, for 15 people) about a month ago,Arrived at the site (~1.5 hr drive to get here) on the reserved date, site was Closed, and couldn't be used.Talked to the camp host, he said he notified Recreation.gov long ago for site being closed.Called Recreation.gov, they said they were not notified of any closure of this site. Was offered to stay at an empty (only available) site which was slopy and small for my group, so had to turn half of my group away back homeVery disappointed how the system worked, and how they pingponged their fault and the lack of responsibility of either ends.

Nice little campground, mostly empty when we went. Kept clean and quiet, beautiful trees and very short drive from Temecula. Only negative is camp host didn't sell firewood but we were able to pick some up just down the road from Vail Lake KOA campground, so only a minor inconvenience. Would recommend! There was no cell reception for Verizon anywhere within the campground.

They have many shades at the campground. We camped there in March, and there was the nice stream where kids can play. They have faucets with water but not flush toilets. The toilets was “ok”. They do not sell firewoods. The closest store you can buy woods was are the supermarket with 6-8 min drive. Over all, we liked the campground and will come back soon.

site #7 has a nice flat ground. Dogs barking at night is the only negative. The trail is hard but I like that dogs are allowed.

Camp host does a great job keeping the camp clean. I had a beautiful and quiet experience.
