I could see how other reviewers could have taken the camp host as a little rude but I didnt think so if anything it couldve just been his tone and/or hard of hearing. Site 28 is located in the Equestrian Camp to the left of the trail access. The view at campsite is nice all around. This specific site had an equestrian stable (no evidence of horse feces) where I was able to hang my hammock. It was really nice at night! The site is located right next to the restrooms and water faucet BUT the restroom entrances were facing DIRECTLY towards your campsite (no trees or bushes were blocking others from looking in and seeing every aspect of you and your campsite)! There were LOTS of fire ants (Labor Day weekend).I would come again but not at a site where the restrooms are facing my campsite and not covered by any trees. This was a poor layout when the other side of the restroom is completely open and not facing any campsites..

Great campsite! We rented spot 28 and while it was right next to the bathrooms, it still felt removed enough from the bathroom goers. Facilities were well kept and groundskeepers were helpful. There's a hiking trail and lovely stream nearby which made it delightful to cool off after a long, hot hike!

We enjoyed our experience at the campsite. Our campsite had a beautiful view and was tidy. The bathrooms were also very clean. We will be back!

No running water for washing hands or showering, but there was fresh water available near the bathrooms in a pump like fashion. The bugs were during the day time but at night they left us alone which was great. This campsite is right next to a beautiful hiking trail where you immediately have to cross a gentle stream, which was a lot of fun for us and our dogs. The camp host was very welcoming and informative, he warned us what times of days/locations to watch out for rattle snakes with our dogs, but assured us there had been no recent incidents. We went to wine country during the heat of the day so this was a great mix of luxury and outdoorsiness for us, would definitely come again!
